Driving through Shakespeare, Ontario late last week I passed by this giant pig at the side of the road..... I just HAD to go back this morning to take the follow up to THIS shot. No matter what I did however, I just could not keep that darn mask on his snout! :(
My original plan was actually to be running away from the giant pig like a scared little girl...... but there were an awful lot of rough looking bikers in the parking lot and I think I looked silly enough taking this shot. lol
I apologize for mentioning earlier in the week that I was done with my pig-shots..... I just HAD to. ;)
Human activities influence the environment and reduce the value of forests, tundra and plains in terms of original biodiversity and habitat. Primarily larger mammals are hit by the fragmentation caused by roads and pipelines. The GLOBIO methodology has modeled the future impact of human activities in the Arctic, as seen in this map. Infrastructure and settlements are used as proxies for human activities, using the GLOBIO model from the Global Environment Outlook 3.

"Human/Need/Desire," by Bruce Nauman, 1983.
I like how this one forms a heart.

Weak and irresolute is man;
The purpose of to-day,
Woven with pains into his plan,
To-morrow rends away.
The bow well bent, and smart the spring,
Vice seems already slain;
But passion rudely snaps the string,
And it revives again.
Some foe to his upright intent
Finds out his weaker part;
Virtue engages his assent,
But Pleasure wins his heart.
’Tis here the folly of the wise
Through all his art we view;
And, while his tongue the charge denies,
His conscience owns it true.
Bound on a voyage of awful length
And dangers little known,
A stranger to superior strength,
Man vainly trusts his own.
But oars alone can ne’er prevail
To reach the distant coast;
The breath of Heaven must swell the sail,
Or all the toil is lost.

The Harsh reality of Mankind's search for Power and wealth, does go to far sometimes. sometimes in the name of money , sometimes in the name of National Defense ,sometimes just in the guise of a "Greater Good"
Private companies run studies And a lot of this type of research is done using Low income people ,students,also Military recruits in the United States but is also prevalent in India ,Europe, Asia,
This is a $14 billion dollar Industry in the united states alone
I am not totally against Human testing as long as the participants have full knowledge of whats going on and are completely willing
But The question is " How Far is to far ?"
And who gets the job of making sure that everyone is Playing by the "rules"
what will the punishment be for someone who breaks the "rules" ?
We talk about human nature when it is assumed that man is
consists of specific characters, it can be neither bought nor change.
Human nature is the essence of man.
Human nature would relate to both qualities
physiological and spiritual rights.
Instinct is nature body. A spiritual human nature is more questionable.
