Neolithic human skull. This fossil skull was found during the construction of the docks at Preston, Lancashire, on the River Ribble, UK, in the period 1885 to 1892. This skull and other finds had been thought to be from the Bronze Age, but research at Liverpool John Moores University in 2002 established new dates. It is now thought that the finds date from a wider period of time, from the late neolithic around 6000 years ago, up to Anglo-Saxon times as recently as 1000 years ago.

This pen and ink drawing is a patterned interpretation of the human heart playing with the lines and shapes of this complex organ.

A few months ago a friend of mine asked me to submit photos for a gallery she was hosting. The aim of the gallery was to bring awareness to human trafficking, auction off the prints and give the proceeds to charity. I hear they raised over $3000!

For inspiration I went to MTV exit and watched their online videos.

Hey It's my first human head It took me a lot of time to do the modeling but I'm pretty happy of what I've done

A shot from the Ford museum near my home. It has some really interesting pieces but is a bit overwhelming due to the shear amount of 'junque'. HDR image, 3 exposures, background desaturated slightly to make the old tow truck stand out better.

I love storms coming in from the sea EOS 1752

Some light reading material while I was babysitting. She's in no danger. 1997.

I made this costume for halloween. It blends in so well with the shrubbery it is shocking.

Pity the big kids who come trick-or-treat at my house this year.

Theres plenty of glare on this photo from the figure, which is translucent orange plastic. I've done this on purpose, mainly because I was testing the flash on the camera during daytime, to try and get Human Torch to light up.

Just an experiment shot. ;-P

This poetic installation, which takes the form of a ring of considerable diameter representing a radiant sun, unfolds a few meters above the ground. The length of its rays is variable and adds a dynamic and visual diversity to the work whose brightness fluctuates gently, like a deep and soothing breath. It diffuses four colors of light ranging from white to orange, in cycles that intertwine and offer a sensation of organic luminous movement. Radiant day and night, the installation offers a new light at sunset, while it magnifies the natural light of the sun like a stained glass window.

Place Pasteur, Montréal, Québec.

Straight out of camera, and the colours aren't quite what I want them to be, ah well.

I intend to finish the series I've been working on with a different photo, so I'm just posting this because it's the first one I've shot in a while that made me want to shoot more.

Strobist, hmm. 20-bulb LED light with full CTO gel, on camera left, slightly above.

File that under "approaches to human rights advocacy I'd never before considered".
