bestie strane le pecore. hanno il senso dell'imitazione. dagli umani, per esempio, hanno mutuato l'abitudine a stare in gregge e fare ciò che gli viene ordinato.
... La especie human está en peligro de extinción, solo tú puedes salvarla.

Globalism is currently working in two distinct ways. One is an attempt to submerge the world into a singular "global" political-economy. Here the corporations that power the markets have the upper hand, and so it is possible to see international architecture that now looks the same everywhere; famous franchises all over the world where the food and coffee is the same; worldwide media that is essentially controlled by six major corporations. This is the standardised, one-size-fits-all model. And I loathe it.
But there is also a countercurrent at work - often referred to as multiculturalism (though I'd rather lose the "-ism"). This is where local cultures are cherished and encouraged. Real difference is acknowledged and relationships through mutual understanding are key to a peaceful community. There are photographers working in this field in Australia right now. Here is some of their work.
From top left we have Shirin Neshat (born Iran 1957) "I am its secret" 1993 from her series "Women of Allah".
In the middle is Zhang Huan (born China 1965) "1/2 Text" where the body is inscribed.
The wonderfully colourful portrait of young African men is by Leonce Agbodjelou (born Benin 1965).
Underneath those are the evocative portraits of Greek mourners by Georgia Metaxas (born Australia 1974).
On the right we have an interesting presentation with a trigger warning. You can read all about it by enlarging this collage. It tells us a great deal about a society that is more offended by the image of a dead worker, than the fact that a real person was murdered.

We are human, after all.
Much in common, after all.
We are human, after all.
Flesh uncovered, after all.

A visual dialogue between eras in the heart of the Eternal City.
This frame captures a young man on an electric scooter passing in front of a modern corten steel installation.
The perforated "ROMA" lettering acts as a contemporary filter, while the historic domes of the churches of Santa Maria di Loreto and Santissimo Nome di Maria rise majestically in the background.
This shot is a testament to the "human comedy" on the stage of daily life, where ancient architecture and modern urban mobility coexist under the dramatic Roman sky.
Documented during my ongoing exploration of Rome's street and documentary photography.
Well after a lot of digging i found my model trains. I was getting them in the early 2000's from different cats as you can see. I am going to try and start doing this again. I would like to get different cats to do them.

I know this is only a Man looking up into the trees. So on the face of it completely uninteresting yet I am still drawn to this scene and can't bring myslef to delete it just yet.
I think I am seeing my Dad stood here if i'm honest.

A human being, in obvious horrible circumstances
lays on the filthy pavement
as life goes on around him...............
people pass by him........
most dont even know he
is there.
This is a very common scene
in South Asia,
and
Dhaka
has some of the most
deformed beggars i have
ever seen.
The point here:
a human being living like this
is ACCEPTABLE
is OK
He is a fixture in KHILKHET,
like the train that passes every 15 minutes,
like the merchants who sell bananas
fish, okra, & candy.
there are no social services
there is no help from the government
he is on his own!
Where is his mom, his pop?
Please indulge me a little here 😡
BANGLADESHI shooters mostly shoot weddings and portraits. Some shoot photojournalistic themes.
Many do it to win ridiculous awards...........
But i ask..............
Where are the images of these human beings that live day to day suffering in intense heat, during monsoons, living in dire circumstances, laying maimed on the streets ?
Who advocates for them?
I blame these shooters as much as the politicians who do nothing to help the situation except stuff money in their pockets.
enough said!
