Greenpeace, the West Kalimantan office of Walhi and inigenous peoples alliance, AMAN, took action to protect Indonesian rainforests and peatlands from being destroyed by Indonesia’s largest forest criminal Sinar Mas in the heart of
Borneo. The non-violent direct action took place in Sinar Mas palm oil concessions surrounding Danau Sentarum National park. Greenpeace and Walhi activists spread a giant 30x6 metre banner at the remaining forest wall in the Sinar Mas concession and locked onto excavators to stop them destroying forest.

A gourd is a plant of the family Cucurbitaceae, particularly Cucurbita and Lagenaria or the fruit of the two genera of "calabash tree", Crescentia and Amphitecna. The term refers to a number of species and subspecies, many with hard shells, and some without. I live in Kemensah, Hulu Kelang. My house is just 500 meters from the National Zoo's fence. This doesn't mean that I frequently go to that place, in fact, if you stay too close to something, chances are, you may take it for granted. My family and I never bother to visit the animals unless if our folks from somewhere else were asking for companion or a 'tour guide'...Or some flickr friends requested me to host a photoshoot outing there.:-)
Once in a while, I could clearly hear the sound of the elephants, roar of the tigers or even the loud noise of the monkeys. After sometime, we got used to it.
Another common scene that we used to see everyday are the storks which flew all over the surrounding area outside the zoo's fence. Sometime they flew to the top of lamp posts, resting there for hours looking at the traffics below or even to the roof top and TV antenna . In good weather, hundreds of them would come out of their habitat.
Normally, when it gets dark, they would return home...
Finally got around to updating this. Good thing I waited though, cause we only just recently got new info on the Netflix shows, including Iron Fist's release date. I'm most hype for 2017!

Malam semalam saya dapat peluang untuk shot kilat yang meriah sekali menghujani bumi "Hulu Selangor" ni! Tak sempat nak ke mana-mana, maka saya shot dari atas rumah saya aje. Sekejap saya kat balkoni dapur, sekejap saya ke muka tingkap kat dalam bilik pun ada...payah nak cari angle yang menarik.
Saya pernah mendapat satu info (telah lama saya jumpai info ini) yang saya sendiri telah lupa dari mana sumbernya; bilamana anda ternampak kilat, cuba kirakan berapa saat antara cahaya kilat dan bunyinya terjarak? Katakan pada saat yang ke 7 baru anda mendengar bunyi kilat tersebut, ini bermakna jarak anda dengan kilat tersebut adalah sekitar 7km! Saya tak pasti akan kesohehan fakta ini, kena tanya pakar cuacalah tentang kebenaran info ini. Tapi itulah yang saya biasa hitungkan bila ternampak kilat dan hampir pasti kesohehan fakta itu daripada pengalaman-pengalaman lama saya ;)

After almost a year i’ve been involved in photography, this time i really tried to make an HDR photography. What i have done here was a result from my reading, observation, learn in forum etc. I’m sure this is what we called High Dynamic Range.
I took this shot in Hulu Langat dam. I drove back and forth from east to west along the lake to get the best spot and finally i found this area. I had to walk down the hill about 200 metres to get the best angle.
To get a panoramic shot like this, i took 3 sets of shots from left to right and and i used 3 frame bracketing to get 3 different multiple exposures for each set. So, 3 sets x 3 exposures and give me a total of 9 shots. To ensure a good quality of shots, i set the ISO to 100, very deep DOF which is f/22 and RAW format off course.
For the post-production i combined all 3 sets in Photomatix, play around the setting to get what i want to achieve and after that i merge all combined sets using photomerge in Photoshop and give a final touch on it.

Selepas setahun aku bermain fotografi, baru kali ini aku cuba betul2 mempraktikkan apa itu HDR fotografi. Apa yang aku hasilkan ini adalah dari pembacaan aku selama ini dan aku yakin ini adalah apa yang di katakan High Dynamic Range.
Shot ini di ambil di empangan Hulu Langat. Aku memandu berulang alik dari timur ke barat untuk mencari spot terbaik dan selepas hampir setengah jam akhir nya aku jumpa kawasan ni. Aku terpaksa menurun bukit kira-kira 200 meter ke bawah untuk dapatkan sudut yang terbaik,
Untuk dapatkan imej panorama ini, aku amik 3 set of shots dan setiap satu set aku gunakan 3 frame bracketing untuk mendapatkan 3 multiple exposures yang berbeza. So, 3 set x 3 exposure, semua sekali 9 shots. Semua berformat RAW.
Proses post-production pula aku combine kan ketiga -tiga set tersebut dalam Photomatix, aku adjust secukup rasa dan selepas itu, ketiga-tiga combined shots itu aku merge dan enhance kan lagi dalam Photoshop.
