Night shot made on the end of the blue hour in the street "Oberen Neckarstrasse", Heilbronn at the river Neckar, Germany.

This 360° panorama of Heilbronn consists of 19 images stitched with Hugin Version 0.7.0. made with Canon EOS 5D, Canon EF 17-40 mm F4 L USM, ISO 100, aperture f/8, shutter speed 30 sec., manual focus and a tripod.

Went for a bit of a holiday at a little farm property near Daylesford. It started raining and I we saw this.

Brightest rainbow we had ever seen in our lives, and also first time we could see the whole arc. The storm passed, and it was all over in less in a few minutes.

I don't usually 'do' landscapes or panoramas stitches but I had no other way of capturing this moment.

I just chucked it into Hugin, messed around a bit and this came out, then dodged/burned a bit in photoshop.

from... actually I don't remember where it's from, probably somewhere near Vaucluse.

I got a Panosaurus, and had to try it out. Since it was night time, an inside view seemed best. 72 frames combined using Hugin to make this 360 degree panorama. You'll want to view it larger for the best effect.

(Yes, parts of the image are blurred. I wasn't doing an excellent job at controlling camera shake.)

The bus dropped me off at the Sakurajima volcano observatory. It was pouring rain. I decided this was a perfect opportunity to go for a walk through some rain forest while a volcano was blowing up above me.

Quick Hugin panorama of some hastily-grabbed shots on the beach.

stitched from 11 handheld images with hugin.app. the field of view is 336x82°. probably best viewed big!

This is my first attempt on photo stitching using a dedicate software. I used Hugin for stitching and autopano-sift for control point creation. While there are so many parameters available in Hugin, I didn't use any because 1) I still don't understand them 2) these photos are easy to stitch since there were taken with tripod - so the outcome is quite pleasing out of the box.

A classically preserved downtown district - Belleville Ohio USA. The Mail Pouch ad adorns the side of Brumpy's Coffeehouse & Pizzeria. And nary a Walmart or Mickey D's in sight.

10 image stitch, resulting in 20,995 x 4283 px pano. 1/1000 s f/14

a) If not done yet, download QtPfsGUI.

b) Click on "new HDR" and load the images we created (or your original ones if you used a tripod).

Keep clicking on "next" until the wizard finishes and save the resulting HDR file (.hdr).

The image should look somewhat "strange", but you should see sharp edges and no ghosting due to unaligned images.

c) Click on "tonemap the HDR" and select "Fattal" for surrealistic tonemapping or "Drago" for a more realistic one.

(Be aware: the effect of "Fattal" varies immensely with the image size!)

d) A click on "Apply" and you created your tonemapped image. (Repeat while playing with the parameters until you like the result.)

e) Save it and crop the border if you came along step #2.

The image shows the source images in the upper line, and display Reinhard04, Drago and Durand in the lower line.

Blue Star Brewery in San Antonio - an indulgence we felt we earned after such a long walk from downtown.

First Stereographic projection, taken in my backyard.

May 2017 - next to Edward Street

This pic was created from 17 separate pix, joined together in Hugin.

It was a test to see how easy the software coped with this many pics, and how to joint a grid of photos instead of a series next to each other. The photo has a few joining errors, but as it was a test, I didn't spend that much time making sure the control points were correct before joining them together.

Taken through glass, hence the reflections. Handheld. The full image is huge, have a look.

This is another panorama made using Hugin.
