The Parliament Gardens in Melbourne. A polar panorama with a touch of additional processing.

I'm infinitely annoyed at this one because I had an excellent stitch, but had to crop it here because there was a big black pole through it just to the right. *shrug* Next time I'll know to step around the obstacle.

Last part of the Sigiriya ascend to the top.

Note the Lion's Paws to the left and right of the stairs, it is said that ORIGINALLY the Rock was sculptured as a lion's head, you had to enter the stairs through the mouth.

Fearsome!

It looks quite small from this perspective (and I guess also due to the artificial making of the picture) but I can assure you it isn't that small - compare with the shots from the way up and up top.

Panorama stitched from around 20 single pictures with hugin (Instead of a wideangle lens :))

I'm a big fan of their work.

HDR from 7 exposures (1 stop spacing), hand held, processed using Hugin for alignment and pfstools for merge and tonemapping. Gimp was used for final layering and cleanup.

The sad part about this is that I wasn't finished but the security guard for the building harassed me and insisted it was illegal to take images of a federal building. That is totally wrong. Both court cases and the DHS have affirmed the publics right to photograph the outside of federal buildings from public spaces. I left to avoid the conflict, but I've got a letter ready to mail to the NSF about the lack of training pertaining to the law and the public's rights. It isn't really the NSF's fault. All the security is handled by lowest bid wins contractors. I'm just glad he didn't want to grope me like the TSA would have.

"A golden year of the Pig" display in Isetan, Shanghai

Here's a panorama I did up with shots from my cameraphone. I think this may have pissed off some drug addled teen who was shooting up in the car park behind the elevator, because about ten minutes later he jumped the tracks and started hassling me.

My first attempt at a stereographic panorama. I had to go hardcore clone tool on the nadir.

One of the tallest structures in Angkor, this is Ta Keo, with several levels, accessed through really steep stairs. At the very top inside the central tower is a small buddhist shrine.

The end of the island, in vertical and horizontal panorama (if only I took that one extra photo in the bottom left)

Flying to visit Amanda in Claremont, I changed planes in the Oakland International Airport. As we approached, there was an excellent view of San Francisco. Although the plane moved between shots, I did manage to stitch together a panorama.

My planet.. My birth city.

A leisure walk from Schoenried to Gstaad. We had much fun with our sledges on those winter hiking routes! Sorry for the snow burst on tourist's fur coats...

Taken from the front porch where we were staying.

Cropped & resized version of Hugin produced panorama that was almost 60Mb (TIFF)
