The SSS Flickr Challenge is "Anything Goes" right now. I used the colors from MFT's Color Challenge #125 to ink up the Concord and 9th Lovely Blooms Turnabout. (Soft Cantaloupe from HA; Hot Lips, Khaki and Scuba from SSS). I used the SSS painted hugs die cut and framed it with a rectangle cut from SSS Stitched rectangles. I don't have the patience to wait for good lighting, but I love this color scheme! :)
2011 - Peyton hugs David after opening the gift her gave her for Christmas. David was so excited to give her an Ariel doll that lights up.

Picasso originally painted the image this is based on, to represent the feelings between husband and pregnant wife. The ambiguities of parenthood, the loss of independence, and the fear of the unknown.
I didn't know this when I first saw the anonymous image. There is a universal comfort between partners. A dependance among lovers to comfort each other in rough times. This hug, between two people represents the stability of relationships.
