This is one of my favorite scarves. It is beautiful and comfortable.
This scarf was made with two strands of soft yarn held together while stitching, which makes the scarf thick without any stiffness.
This color and style is unisex. The classic crochet stitch gives this scarf a beautiful style for men or women. It looked great on my husband who graciously gives me feedback on wearability, style and comfort of my scarves.
This is a lovely color for Autumn and Winter: A warm brick red with a reddish brown/rust hue.

1ère édition de la Rocamburlesque Cup !!!
Le dimanche 4 juin, à partir de 11h aura lieu au stade Duguay Trouin un tournoi de football pas comme les autres !!
En effet seul le beau jeu et le plaisir est à l'honneur en cette journée ! Le jeu ira bien au delà de l'enjeu pour ce tournoi.
Réservé aux amoureux du ballon rond, aux footeux (et fans de Foot) qui ont vibré devant les fantasques Ronaldinho, Zizou, Raul et consorts, pour les personnes qui ne connaissent qu'un seul Ronaldo, le véritable, pour les joueurs qui auraient souhaité avoir une carrière précise, celle de Georges Best...
Ce tournoi est finalement réservé aux amoureux du ballon et toute les choses POSITIVES qui gravites autour !!
Ce tournoi est bien sûr ouvert à tous le monde, les rugbymans, handballeurs, et autres sportifs sont la bienvenue !!
Le tournoi débutera à 11h30 sous une formule championnat permettant de jouer un maximum de matchs, la finale se jouera aux alentours de 19h30.
Suite à ce tournoi, profitant du fait que le lendemain soit férié, une soirée Burger sous une grande tonnelle avec musique clôturera cette belle journée.
Les personnes ne participantes pas aux tournois sont elles aussi conviées à cette soirée, il vous suffira de réserver vos places (10€ par personne) pour profiter de l'événement.

De nombreuses animations accompagneront la journée et la soirée (nous avons pensé aux personnes qui ne souhaitent pas participer au tournoi pour diverse raison #PiedsCarrés mais qui souhaiteraient tout de même se joindre à l'événement pour le plaisir des yeux...) avec des animations ventriglisse par l'association "Slip'n Slide 51", des animations palets par l'association affiliée à la FFPPB (Fédération Française de Palais sur Planche en Bois) qui nous fait l'honneur de se déplacer de Paris avec son Président, son secrétaire et sa Présidente d'honneur, afin de nous faire une petite démonstration, mais aussi en fin de journée un tournoi de Beer Pong, etc...
Est compris dans l'inscription du tournoi, le repas du midi (galette saucisse frite) par joueur.
Le tournoi aura lieu sur le terrain d'honneur (en herbe) de Duguay Trouin, nous jouerons sur demi terrain, le nombre de joueurs est de 6 + un gardien + 2 remplaçants.
Concernant les lots, notre partenaire "Le Comptoir" fournira la totalité de nos récompense.

The 2019 inductees include the 1994 women’s volleyball team; Patricia Chabala, C’88 (softball); Dan Consuegra, C’06 (baseball); Nicole (Hinerman) Karr, C’04 (softball); Kenny Roberts, C’05 (men’s basketball); Edward Sagan, C’87 (men’s soccer); Dr. Terrance Smith, C’05 (men’s basketball); David Suski, C’06 (men’s soccer); and Tony Washam, C’05 (men’s basketball).

Monday 07 November 2011 - Day 17 - Trek Lungden (4,375m / 14,354ft) to Gokyo (4,790m/15,720ft) over the Renjo La (5,340m /17,521ft)
A pre dawn rise and shine, and the lodge owner excitedly encouraged us outside to see how the Kongde View Lodge got its name... such a great feeling to discover that the skies had cleared - with perfect timing for our first big pass: the 5,340m /17,521ft Renjo La (aka Lhenjo La).
A cold start, but wonderful to see the dawn sunlight hitting the snow capped peaks and jagged black ridges, 360°, and smashing to see a sunkissed Numbur again. A slog through the shadow to the hanging valley with a still partially frozen stream running through the small lakes that led us towards the foot of the final climb, from the Black Lake to the prayer flagged pass - with the help of giant snow covered stone steps. Gopal told us that the steps had been made to help the yak trains descend down from the pass, rather than for trekkers. Hard going at over 5,000m, but the prayer flags kept drawing us ever upwards.... and emerging at the top we had spectacular views of the stunning set of peaks from Gyachung Kang / ग्याचुङ्काङ to Kusum Kanguru via Pumori / पुमोरि, Everest / सगरमाथा, Nuptse, Lhotse / ल्होत्से, Makalu / मकालु - all towering over the turquoise of Gokyo's third lake and the collection of lodges that comprise Gokyo Lakes. Looking back westwards, more mountains behind us - amazing. Definitely one of the best moments of the whole trek - amazingly photogenic, and I'd be lost without Günter Seyfferth's annotated panoramas from Renjo La: Renjo La Panorama Ost and Renjo La Panorama West.
A tiring descent on dusty, slippy trails dropping steeply between cairns and then levelling out along the north shore of the lake, culminating in a long stretch of stepping stones to cross the stream feeding into the lake and to reach the lodges.
We arrived exhausted at the Namaste Lodge, and with a splitting headache in my case. Not sure if it was due to altitude, exertion or the bright sunshine, but a couple of ibuprofen and veg noodle soup lunch sorted me out. There followed a lazy afternoon at the lodge, which filled up with support teams and then runners participating in the Everest Sky Race 2011 - crazy but impressive...

Cherished by artists for its intensive format, TransFormation contributes to focusing on precise objectives over the span of a couple of weeks. It is also a rare occasion to meet, exchange and network with other artists from Montreal, Quebec, Canada and throughout the world, who all share the same passion.

TransFormation is a contemporary dance intensive for professional dancers, choreographers, professional teachers and emerging artists. A variety of technique classes, workshops and creation laboratories are offered on an à la carte basis encouraging the artists themselves to choose a programming which would best fit their pursuit of their unique artistic development.
Dancers develop their own distinct way of working, bringing a singularity and their own particular colour to the creations they take part in. Consequently, the contemporary dancer must not only explore new techniques but also new “states of body”. Transformation is a place that offers the opportunity to acquire and incorporate new tools, to improve critical sense and refine one’s personal aesthetic choices.
TransFormation brings together dancers from different horizons and with different views and interests. Together these factors make for a very unique and enriching experience. Every year dancers leave with an appreciation for the fluidity of interpersonal relations between the dancers, choreographers and faculty as well as the intense concentration of the workshop and the atmosphere of artistic freedom that is felt in the different studios during TransFormation.
The program reflects the dancer’s commentaries, views and interests in the new paths of contemporary creation along with the human and artistic experience of its director Lisa Davies and its founders Catherine Viau and David Pressault. The choice of faculty is based on a desire to offer a space of real transformation.

A late September 2018 visit to Packwood House, another National Trust property. Been meaning to visit this one myself for a while now!
A nice cool Sunday afternoon to visit Packwood.
Packwood House is a timber-framed Tudor manor house near Lapworth, Warwickshire. Owned by the National Trust since 1941, the house is a Grade I listed building. It has a wealth of tapestries and fine furniture, and is known for the garden of yews.
The house began as a modest timber-framed farmhouse constructed for John Fetherston between 1556 and 1560. The last member of the Fetherston family died in 1876. In 1904 the house was purchased by Birmingham industrialist Alfred Ash. It was inherited by Graham Baron Ash (Baron in this case being a name not a title) in 1925, who spent the following two decades creating a house of Tudor character. He purchased an extensive collection of 16th- and 17th-century furniture, some obtained from nearby Baddesley Clinton. The great barn of the farm was converted into a Tudor-style hall with sprung floor for dancing, and was connected to the main house by the addition of a Long Gallery in 1931.
In 1941, Ash donated the house and gardens to the National Trust in memory of his parents but continued to live in the house until 1947 when he moved to Wingfield Castle.

Nuestra Parroquia del Señor de la Paz fue erigida un 2 de Febrero de 1868, quedando al frente como Primer Párroco Don Agustín Torres. De nuestra Parroquia es el Venerable Siervo de Dios, Don Leonardo Castellanos quien después llegó a ser Obispo de Tabasco. Ya desde entonces se tenía como Patrono a Jesús Crucificado bajo la advocación del Señor de la Paz. Por Él es que la Parroquia tiene su nombre.

Nachdem letztes Jahr eine Veranstaltung auf dem Flughafen Tempelhof im Rahmen der Bread Butter und eine im Prater Biergarten stattfand, kehrt das Spektakel jetzt zurück zu seinem Ursprung: In den Festsaal Kreuzberg.
Die Idee des Kiezboxens ist einfach: Boxen bekommt den Glamour und die Intensität zurück, die man braucht um ein anspruchsvolles Publikum anzusprechen. Die Rezeptur, ein Unterhaltungsprogramm und ein solides sportliches Niveau, schaffen den Rahmen dafür, dass Leute, die sonst nicht zu Boxveranstaltungen gehen würden, also Studenten, Musik-Fans, Clubgänger, Intellektuelle, Künstler, usw. zur begeisterten Zuschauern werden.
Entscheidend ist, dass die Kämpfer sowohl durch die soziale Anbindung als auch durch ihre sportliche Leistung zu echten Identifikationsfiguren werden, denn es kämpft der Kollege, Freund oder der Barkeeper der eigenen Stammkneipe. Man wundert sich wie viele Personen aus dem eigenen Umfeld schon Boxerfahrung haben oder angesichts der Wettkampfsituation über sich selbst hinauswachsen.
Das Niveau der Kämpfe mag vielleicht nicht mit dem der Profis mithalten, aber hier gibt jeder Kämpfer alles. Es gibt keine Aufbaukämpfe und kein taktieren, hier wird gekämpft von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute. Eben diese Intensität und die Tatsache, dass man die Kämpfer kennt, führt zum ekstatischen Mitfiebern. Noch dazu findet das ganze in einem dem Anlass und Umfeld angemessen Showkontext statt: Nummerngirls, Einlauf in den Ring und Vorberichterstattung gibt es ebenso wie ein musikalisches Rahmenprogramm.
Showprogramm
Kreuzberg, der bekannteste Stadtteil Deutschlands, hat seine eigenen Spielregeln. Deshalb werden die Kämpfe von einem ortsüblichem Showprogramm begleitet. Party, Warm-Up und Soundtrack zwischen den Kämpfen wird in die vertrauensvollen Hände von DJ Craft (K.I.Z.) gelegt.

Abdalaziz Alhamza, nato a Raqqa nel 1991, è un giornalista e attivista siriano, che oggi vive a Berlino. È fondatore e portavoce del progetto Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently (RBSS), gruppo di citizen journalism fondato dall’esilio in Turchia, che informa sulle violenze compiute da Isis in Siria, grazie alle informazioni passate da cittadini rimasti all’interno della città. Nel gennaio 2016 l’International Business Times ha descritto RBSS come “la più credibile fonte di informazioni dall’interno di Raqqa”.
Alhamza è laureato in biologia e da studente ha organizzato numerose proteste contro il governo siriano. È stato arrestato varie volte dal regime e più volte ha ricevuto minacce per la sua attività da Isis. RBSS ha vinto nel 2015 l’International Press Freedom Award dal Committee to Protect Journalists e il premio del Foreign Policy Global Thinkers Award.

Mario Bellini è un architetto e designer noto in tutto il mondo. Ha ricevuto il Premio Compasso d’Oro otto volte e 25 delle sue opere sono nella collezione permanente del MoMA di New York, che gli ha dedicato una retrospettiva nel 1987. È stato direttore della rivista Domus (1985-1991). Ha progettato numerose mostre d’arte e di architettura sia in Italia, sia all’estero, l’ultima a Palazzo Reale con i capolavori di Giotto (2015).

È il comico di punta di Comedy Central Italia (canale 124 di Sky) per il suo show CCN – Comedy Central News, striscia satirica di grande successo di pubblico e critica, giunta alla terza stagione – attualmente in corso, in onda tutti i mercoledì alle 22 – e per la quale ha vinto il Premio Satira Politica per la Tv Forte Dei Marmi.

Dopo la morte del padre, lei e la madre si trasferiscono nella magica città di Torino. Qui tante sono le collaborazioni, i contratti andati male, i dischi mai usciti e gli anni di manifestazioni musicali, provini e gavetta.

Maccio Capatonda - Attore e Regista
Nino Frassica - Comico e Presentatore
Maccio Capatonda, pseudonimo di Marcello Macchia, è un attore, regista e comico italiano. Ha partecipato ai programmi televisivi Mai dire Lunedì e Mai dire Martedì. Precedentemente aveva fondato a Milano la Shortcut Productions, insieme a Enrico Venti, suo storico amico, anche lui di Chieti. Ha lavorato per AllMusic e lavora stabilmente sul web, affianco all’attività televisiva. Nel 2013 è ideatore, regista e interprete principale della serie televisiva Mario. In un primo tempo si è dedicato (accompagnato dal suo inseparabile gruppo) alla produzione di finti reality televisivi, come il Divano Scomodo e il Gabinetto.
Nel 1985 Arbore coinvolge Nino Frassica nel varietà “Quelli della notte” nei panni di frate Antonino da Scasazza, organizzatore di un improbabile concorso a premi. Seguono “Indietro tutta” dove veste i panni del bravo presentatore e mette in scena una spassosa parodia del tipico conduttore televisivo. Partecipa successivamente a “Fantastico”, “Domenica In”, “Scommettiamo che…?”, “I Cervelloni”, “Acqua calda”, “Colorado Cafè” e “Markette” condotto da Piero Chiambretti. Nel 1999 inizia l’avventura della fiction televisiva “Don Matteo” con Terence Hill, Flavio Insinna e successivamente Simone Montedoro, giunta ormai alla decima serie. Nino interpreta il ruolo del maresciallo dei Carabinieri Nino Cecchini.

Herbert Ballerina, pseudonimo di Luigi Luciano, nato a Campobasso il 7 marzo 1980, è un attore, comico, conduttore radiofonico e produttore cinematografico italiano. Dopo essersi laureato al DAMS di Bologna si trasferisce a Milano entrando a far parte della Shortcut Productions di Marcello Macchia ed Enrico Venti (in arte Maccio Capatonda e Ivo Avido), inizialmente come assistente e poi come attore e autore. Con Marcello Macchia è protagonista, con lo pseudonimo di Herbert Ballerina, di numerosi trailer umoristici trasmessi all’interno dei programmi televisivi Mai dire Lunedì e Mai dire Martedì.

Sydney Sibilia, nato a Salerno nel 1981, è un regista, sceneggiatore e produttore cinematografico italiano. Sydney Sibilia inizia a realizzare cortometraggi insieme all’amico Fabio Ferro nella loro natìa Salerno. Nel 2007 si trasferisce a Roma e successivamente realizza un cortometraggio che ottiene numerosi riconoscimenti, Oggi gira così (2010), prodotto dalla Ascent Film e scritto insieme a Valerio Attanasio.
Sempre con Valerio Attanasio, scrive la sceneggiatura della sua opera prima Smetto quando voglio. Il film, prodotto dalla Fandango di Domenico Procacci, dalla Ascent FIlm di Matteo Rovere e da Rai Cinema, viene distribuito nelle sale cinematografiche nel febbraio 2014, riscuotendo un successo sorprendente e ottenendo 12 candidature ai David di Donatello 2014. Nel 2017 è nelle sale il seguito, Smetto quando voglio – Masterclass, in attesa del terzo episodio.
Regista, sceneggiatore e attore. Insieme a Matteo Corradini e Luca Vecchi è il fondatore del collettivo The Pills, nato nell’estate del 2011. Il collettivo è diventato celebre grazie alla web serie omonima che ha debuttato su YouTube nello stesso anno, diventando immediatamente fenomeno del web. Dopo il successo ottenuto anche con la seconda stagione, nel 2014 la serie approda su Italia 1. Nello stesso anno, The Pills sono autori insieme a Matteo Rovere, Luca Ravenna, Sydney Sibilia e Daniele Grassetti della serie tv Zio Gianni in onda su Rai2. Il 21 gennaio 2016 esce nelle sale il loro primo film, The Pills – Sempre meglio che lavorare.
Sceneggiatrice tra le più apprezzate in Italia, è laureata in filosofia.

Samuel Umberto Romano, conosciuto semplicemente come Samuel (Torino, 7 marzo 1972), è un cantautore e chitarrista italiano. È il frontman del gruppo dei Subsonica, in cui è anche compositore e autore dei testi delle canzoni insieme a Max Casacci e Davide Dileo, meglio conosciuto come Boosta.
Nel 2016 ha annunciato attraverso le proprie pagine Facebook e Instagram di essere al lavoro sul suo primo album da solista, anticipato il 9 settembre 2016 dal suo primo singolo da solista, La risposta, seguito tre mesi dopo da Rabbia.
