ENG (This photo was taken before the previous one but Flickr loaded it later. Cont.. from previous photo) The salespeople are on top speed, they're kind but don't have much time to waste. They don't let you try the item till you buy it, and then once bought, if you want to return it and the package is open (and you need to open it to try it!), they charge you 15% for "repackaging". You purchase it at the counter and then they give you a ticket so you pay at a separate cash till. There's a one year guaranteed but only valid in US and Canada.
I went to try the camara at the City Hall Park that is in front (by the way, the park is very nice with streetlights with small, live fires inside) and when it strongly started to rain (again!!) I went inside the Starbucks next door to have a coffee and read the manual.

No te dejan probarlo hasta que lo compras, y una vez comprado, si lo quieres devolver y está abierto el paquete (¡y necesitas abrirlo para probarlo!), te cobran 15% por "reembalarlo". Lo compras en el mostrador y luego te dan un billete para que lo pagues en un caja aparte. Tiene un año de garantía pero solo válida en EEUU y Canadá.
Yo me fui al Parque de City Hall (ayuntamiento) que está enfrente a probarla (el parque muy bonito por cierto con farolas con pequeñas llamas vivas dentro) y cuando volvió a empezar a llover (¡de nuevo!) fuertemente me metí en el Starbucks de al lado a tomar un latte y leerme el manual de instrucciones.

Die Admira kämpft wie ein Löwe und holt einen wichtigen Punkt!
Die Admira hat am Samstag, 7. Dezember 2013 gekämpft wie ein Löwe und eine tolle Leistung gegen die Austria abgegeben. Der Titelträger musste sich daheim gegen die Admira trotz 2:0-Führung mit einem 2:2 begnügen. Rene Schicker ermöglichte dem Schlusslicht per Doppelpack (42., 75.) nach den Toren von Roman Kienast (11.) und Christoph Ramsebner (33.) noch einen Punkt.
Die Admira gab sich stark und im spielerischen Bereich blieben die Violetten einiges schuldig, präsentierten sich zunächst aber immerhin effizient vor dem Tor. In der 11. Minute gelangte der Ball von Markus Suttner über Umwege zu Kienast, der mit einem trockenen Schuss auf 1:0 stellte. Ramsebner erhöhte in der 32. Minute per Kopf nach Freistoß von Murg auf 2:0, wobei sich Philipp Hosiner in dieser Szene frei von Goalgetter-Egoismus zeigte. Der Stürmer hätte den Ball aus kurzer Distanz über die Linie befördern können, überließ den Treffer aber Ramsebner.
Alles schien angerichtet für den fünften Liga-Sieg der Austria in den jüngsten sechs Partien, doch die Admira machte dem Meister einen Strich durch die Rechnung. Schon in der 6. Minute zeigten die Gäste ihre Gefährlichkeit, als Schicker den Ball knapp außerhalb des Strafraums an die Latte schlenzte. In der 31. Minute fabrizierte Stefan Schwab aus guter Position einen verunglückten Kopfball.
In der 42. Minute wurde dann die Aufholjagd gestartet. Schicker ließ gleich drei Austria-Verteidiger schlecht aussehen und spitzelte den Ball zum Anschlusstreffer ins Netz. Vier Minuten nach Wiederanpfiff hatte der Stürmer den Ausgleich auf dem Fuß, schoss aber nach Domoraud-Vorlage aus wenigen Metern daneben. Den endgültigen Umschwung brachte eine Entscheidung von Schiedsrichter Muckenhammer in der 59. Minute. Der Referee schloss Murg nach einem Foul an Thomas Weber zur Überraschung der über 7.600 Fans in der Generali Arena aus.
Die Austria antwortete mit einem Weitschuss von James Holland an die Stange (69.), wurde danach aber immer weiter in die Defensive gedrängt. Logische Folge: Schicker besorgte in der 75. Minute nach optimaler Vorarbeit des eingewechselten Ouedraogo den Ausgleich. Davor hatte die vorerst nur noch vier Punkte vom rettenden Ufer entfernt liegende Admira schon durch Schicker (71.) und Schwab (72.) gute Chancen aufs 2:2 ausgelassen.
Stimmen zum Spiel: Nenad Bjelica (Austria-Trainer): „Ich fühle mich wie ein Aufsteiger, der sich den Respekt bei den Schiedsrichtern erst erarbeiten muss. Das passiert uns schon zum wiederholten Mal, in 19 Spielen waren sieben oder acht Entscheidungen gegen die Austria. Warum machen sich die Schiedsrichter so stark gegen uns? Die Austria muss immer doppelt so gut sein, um zu gewinnen. Wenn man Wolfsberg-Trainer ist, ist das normal, dann muss man sich diesen Respekt erst erarbeiten. Ich gratuliere der Admira, sie hat super gespielt und sogar mehr verdient als den Punkt.“
Walter Knaller: „Bei der Roten Karte für Murg hat Nenad Recht, Gelb hätte gereicht. Wir können stolz sein, nach dem 0:2 einen Punkt mitgenommen zu haben. Am Ende wär sogar noch ein Sieg möglich gewesen. Es hat nicht nur kämpferisch, sondern auch spielerisch vieles gut funktioniert.“

The fruit of the Osage Orange - the so-called "hedge apple" - stands out vividly in an autumn treeline. In good years, the branches will bend low with the combined weight of these heavy fruit.
Pleasant Ridge Presbyterian Churchyard
Pleasant Ridge began as a settlement in 1795, when a small fort (McFarland's Station) was built in nearby Kennedy Heights to protect early settlers from Indian attacks. A short walk to a ridge overlooking the Mill Creek Valley was said to have evoked an agreement within the group that it was, indeed, a "pleasant" ridge. The Pleasant Ridge Cemetery was dedicated in the same year, and in 1800 became the site of the historic Pleasant Ridge Presbyterian Church.

Para 1958 se había terminado la fachada, en 1960 se terminó la interesante construcción y en 1962 se terminó la casa parroquial. Posterior a esta fecha se terminaron las bóvedas que faltaban de la nave y de los cruceros, el altar y el trono de la imagen. De estilo neoclásico, la portada es valiosa por sus múltiples esculturas que representan personajes del nacimiento de Cristo, donde aparecen 56 figuras de los ángeles típicamente vestidos de charros y chinas poblanas, con instrumentos de mariachi alegrando el nacimiento del Mesías.

The first capitol building of Utah was built in Filmore, but it was only used for that purpose for one year. Later the Salt Lake City Council Hall served as meeting place for the legislature. The statehood was granted to Utah in 1896.
The Salt Lake City and County Building served as the capitol building until 1916, the year when the present building was finished.
The Capitol, which is 404 feet (123 m) long, 240 feet (73 m) wide was built between 1912 and 1916. The granite of the building and the copper of the dome are both from Utah. An extensive and expansive reconstruction took place between 2004 and 2008.
In the movie Legally Blonde 2 Utah State Capitol was used for exterior and interior shots of the U.S. Capitol.

Kvas is a very popular drink in Ukraine. It's made of fermented dry rye bread and a dash of yeast. It is sweet, naturally carbonated and contains very low amount of alcohol (usually less than 0.5%). Kvas from street vendors is the best, but if you fear a food infection, you can buy bottled Kvas at any food store.
In the US, every Russian deli has a selection of bottled kvas, but, for better results, ask if they have a concentrated Kvas ferment, and use it make kvas at home!
Dry Tortugas National Park preserves Fort Jefferson and the Dry Tortugas section of the Florida Keys. The park covers 101 mi2 (262 km2), mostly water, about 68 statute miles (109 km) west of Key West in the Gulf of Mexico.
It is famous for abundant sea life, colorful coral reefs and legends of shipwrecks and sunken treasures. The park's centerpiece is Fort Jefferson, a massive but unfinished coastal fortress. It is the largest masonry structure in the Western Hemisphere, and is composed of over 16 million bricks. The park has almost 80,000 visitors each year. The park is accessible only by seaplane or boat. Ferries leave from Key West. Activities include snorkeling, picnicking, camping, scuba diving, saltwater fishing and birdwatching.

Suddenly Wanting Ninja Lea this past Spring Lead to my Insanity that I wanted so many Leas.

We were pretty good friends with these guys when I was in Aphotic Discord, and I took the chance to shoot them when they played in the area, although not really near me at all. We drove around and stopped at this Sheetz and took some shots behind the store near the dumpster. It was a pretty fun time chilling with these guys. They've got some of the best music the scene has to offer, and you should most definitely keep your eyes peeled for what these guys have in store.

You can't visit the temple itself.To visit the garden you need to make a reservation at least a week beforehand via a letter/postcard with return postage/card and you need to join in a ritual including painting/writing down a wish before you can visit the garden. It rained all morning, making it look even amazingly greener than it already is. Quite a challenge to photograph though, while holding an umbrella too :-)
The maple leaves were already starting to change colour in August.

The climax that brought about the building of the Swimming Pool was the drowning of boys to such an extent that it stirred the fathers and mothers into action. "Jack" Arpin, was an ardent promoter of this scheme and donated liberally in both time and money to get this place to swim, for young and old, started. The main motive of course was to provide a safe place where children could enjoy the play of swimming. Later it was taken over by the city and so maintained. On May 30, 1922, it was dedicated as Legion Park, and with proper ceremonies a tree was planted to the memory of each soldier who had died in the World War. A cannon was also assigned to this park by the government and it may have seen service abroad, but this is an American made gun.
The picture at the top shows off the cannon and the river at its high state. The lower picture of the swimming pool was taken in 1930, from the roof of the boy's dressing room and looks towards the pool and swimmers. The lack of water below the dam and in the river is in direct contrast with the picture above.

Timi Yuro was an Italian-American gal who could belt out a ballad with such power she could peel paint. She had an undeniable soulful quality but also a keen sense of jazz phrasing . . . as well as pulling r'n'b and country music into the mix. Her first big hit was Hurt in 1961 and she followed it with the equally good What's a Matter Baby (Is It Hurting You?) the following year. Timi Yuro a lady who possessed a tremendous and unique voice. She made some great records.
Timi Yuro returned to her Italian origins with the 1965 release "E poi verrà l' autunno" - "Ti Credo", recorded for entry in Italy's San Remo festival. Timi Yuro reached the half final and won an award for her performance. Timi appeared a second time at the San Remo festival in 1968 and sang "Le solite cose". The casino Of San Remo is the oldest one in Italy, and has always shown a great passion for music. It housed, since it's birth the Italian San Remo festival, the "Domenica" and "Dopofestival" and many more events linked to the festival until 1976.
The San Remo Festival has always caused a tremendous outcry and this was also due to certain memorable episodes. For instance, several years ago Nunzio Filogamo (a famous Italian compere) simply could not stand the blunders made by his colleague Marisa Allasio and so he decided not to let her participate to the final night of the Festival. Sometimes the lyrics were thought to be too "explicit" - and this was the case of "Uno per tutte" (i.e., "One for all") by Tony Renis and Pericoli in 1962.
Funny episodes were also accompanied by upsetting and mysterious ones. Luigi Tenco (a famous Italian singer) committed suicide in his hotel room after knowing that his song had been eliminated. This event shocked and moved people deeply and its repercussions on the Festival audience lasted for quite some time. In recent years, something rather strange happened during the Festival. In 1996 a man tried to jump over the balcony in the Ariston Theatre so as to kill himself, but the compere managed to talk him into giving up his plan. At first, this episode caused emotion and sympathy, but then it all turned out to be a stunt and it thus ended with a lawsuit. Through the years the Festival has certainly been characterised by various episodes, which have also contributed to the establishment of a certain scent of mystery and fame that has always accompanied this great music event.

He then became President Bush’s Special Envoy for Western Hemisphere Initiatives, reporting to Dr. Condoleezza Rice in the National Security Council. He left government service in June 2004.
