Now, some instruction on proper "eating cake with hand" technique.

Pack everything you can into stackable plastic bins with integral lids. These are cheap and plentiful at Home Depot, OSH, Big Lots, et al.

 

The wind can't steal my lid and fill my bin with playa dust!

 

Also: it helps to have an area in your house or garage to use as a staging area for your BM gear, so that once you've packed something, you can be certain that you won't forget and leave it behind.

Note: If you just want a cover, the bottom frame is not necessary (just hem the bottom, according to original instructions).

 

Note2: If you'd like a full bottom piece, you'll have to sew the box into the cover. It's possible, but will take extra finagling.

Fixed broken brackets on panier rack, with aluminum brazing rods. Worked quite nicely. Survived first ride also.

Broke again on the last ride in 2022; added pop rivets before brazing, in 2023.
