Oh how things have changed! Penn Central F7A 1840, cabless GP9B & F7A lead an eastbound manifest freight train under former New Haven Railroad wire and through Stamford, Connecticut, 1973. The roadbed and surround area look like a dump as compared to the way the area was previously maintained. This must have a hot summer day with the nose door open on F7A # 1840 for better ventilation. In the background you can see the Stamford passenger station.

Bob Hughes captured this image on film from his tower window.

A true image of me in as much as the lightning is natural and you can see every line and pore on the old boat. So my complexion isn't as perfect as it looks at time. Might post a filtered image next to show how easily the truth can be bent.

How handsome is this Ram with a lovely wool too?

"When you have come to the edge of all the light you have

And step into the darkness of the unknown

Believe that one of the two will happen to you

Either you'll find something solid to stand on

Or you'll be taught how to fly!"

When your bird has a great shape (like most birds do) and you have a bright background, consider making a silhouette by exposing for the background and letting the bird go completely black. To do this, use spot metering and meter on the background.

one of several busy downies on a grey day.

..... wonderful it was to find this single 7-spot ladybird yesterday during my lunch hour! Only time I've been out (so far) this week...

Didn't get out last Sunday, and this weekend's not looking good either... there'll be plenty more delving in those archives!!

Funny isn't how life changes and revolves.

A much older snap from way back when and a time I had little time to spend upon myself and frocking-up.

A house to maintain and gardens and lawn needing constant maintenance.

Now, down the track years later and lots of 'spare-time' I now find myself mostly being simply me and just living the life of whom I am and loving it. All-be-it, now somewhat laid-back and maybe lazy in posing and posting new stuff.

And yes! I was not just posing here. I was actually mowing the front lawn in truth. No bullshit and no pretense.

Who cares what the neighbours think?

it's bad taste, I know, but I couldn't help myself:)

How long does this temporary freedom last?

Aside from my girls' closet, where they hang all their babydoll dresses and sweaters, my girls have two three-ring binders of clothes. The notebook on the left holds their A-line dresses, ruffle dresses, and hoodies. The notebook on the right holds their tops and bottoms.

Everything is arranged in business card sheet protectors with blank business cards behind the clothes, with two items per pocket in most cases.

We love arranging everything this way, so we can see it all with a flip of the page! :oD

How do YOU organize your girlies' clothes??

Another old shot from the archives. Title is just for fun.. don't mean to offend anyone here ;) tho I've to admit that Volvo is indeed one of the safest car in the world but for some reason, it looks like they are extremely popular with those who are not confident driving on the road. Either they overtake dangerously like a snob or very indecisive in where they want to go. Well, that's from my experience in aussie & asia anyway so apologies for those who own one :P If anyone can think that Volvo will protect them no matter what happens outside the car... well, tell them they are dreaming :D

This Red Banded Hairstreak has two clavate antenna. These are antenna with clubs at the end. All butterflies have clavate antenna. Many moths have more complex antenna which are used to detect pheromones' for mating.

What is amazing about hairstreak butterflies is the hair like structures near the tail that are actually articulated and move independently. They are pseudo antenna that help confuse predators about which end to strike. If you watch butterflies that have these pseudo antenna you will notice that many are missing a small portion of their hind wing which means the predator struck the wrong end and the butterfly survived.

If you want to see how these pseudo antenna move here is a like to a video demonstrating the phenomenon: www.flickr.com/photos/drphotomoto/8409353055/in/photolist...

After the death if my laptop over a year ago now I've finally got everything back up and running and am starting to take pictures again.

Went for a little walk around the area about Tarn Hows over the weekend and was surprised to see that the snow had come right down below 200m. Definitely a nice day to get back into it!

Well, it makes for a good story but don't worry, he didn't get wet. It is really an optical illusion taken of the Fontana dell' Obelisco in the Piazza del Popolo.

A man walking six dogs

This time it really is how I look first thing in the morning when I wake up. No makeup and after the first coffee of the day.

Not as glam as usual but not as bad as it used to be when I looked more guy like.

Well sorry to shock you first thing but this is the reality of life

Yes, I am wearing a bra! I always do. I wasn't really in the mood for going out tonight as I felt rotten during the day but I made the effort because I knew I would be sorry if I didn't. As it happens, I had a good time and was told that my dress was lovely. Even more remarkable I like this photo.

If you don't understand the concept, at least you understand how I feel.
