Today was rainy with temperatures just warm enough so that it wasn't snow. That called for a delicious mug of peppermint hot chocolate and a couple of mom's homemade cookies.

The wine-and-food tour started in at a small chocolate maker's factory and shop. We had a tasting of a handful of excellent pralines, and demitasses of what is undoubtedly the absolute best hot chocolate in the world. It was thick, and smooth, and the flavor was amazing.

The best hot chocolate in the country comes from Burdick in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

This is the warmer with no milk inside.

It's not as obvious as when done to coffee, but it's still awesome for the effort.

The weather suddenly got really cold so hot chocolate with marshmallows was the answer. Made with real chocolate, it's the only way to go.

Hot Chocolate

Those of you who have had a closer look at my pictures might have noticed that I'm addicted to chocolate.

I love to have it as well as in my drink as well as in my food.

Day 70 of 365.

It has been pretty sunny in recent days, but today the skies gave up their color and exchange the warm rays of sun for hanging clouds and cold.

When I went out to shoot today all I wanted was to be done with it and settle down with a nice cup of hot chocolate.

My obsession with hot chocolate continued for 15 minutes, at which point I decided to stop fighting the urge.

I went to the convenience store, bought a box of hot chocolate, then headed straight back to my room.

In honor of my journey I present to you this photograph.
