February 6, 2011 - I found some instant abuelitas at CVS today. They tasted delicious, but definitely not as good as the non-instant ones. Lesson learned: you can't rush delicious.
Made with Hotel Chocolat's fantastic Single Estate Madagascar 72% Cocoa chocolate melted (in a double boiler) and blended with Kahlua, Vodka and Steamed Milk...topped with froth...
The Spanish dunk churrios in their hot chocolate. I didn't join them. This is a popular café in the square with the cathedral and other important buildings.
Today was a tad chilly out so I couldn't wait to get in and make some hot chocolate....I took down my tea kettle that I got for christmas a couple of years ago....I am such a nerdical, I love hearing it whistle! ha.
The yummiest hot chocolate on a rainy day at my fave restaurant in Fullerton, Rutabegorz. Been going there for 10 years, can't believe I never tried it before!

I made marshmallows tonight to go into the Williams-Sonoma peppermint hot chocolate. I tried a different recipe from my usual one, and it was easier and a lot less messy, but the verdict is still out on whether it's as good. Further research is required.

It was quite chilly today so it seemed like a good idea to go and get some hot chocolate, which this time came from the Cafe Esplenad which was lovely.
The pickle jars looked great, but if I'm honest, they weren't the easiest to drink from.
