Guess hosts ladies night with CLEO Bachelors; Sydney, Australia
Four of the most prolific Cleo Bachelor 2012 finalists were in attendance at today's beauty industry event at Westfield Sydney.
Surfer and Masterchef hunk Hayden Quinn; X Factor's Johnny Ruffo; entrepreneur Andrew McIver and DJ Keiynan Lonsdale, all provided tunes for the evening.
Hosted by Cleo editor Gemma Crisp, the lucky 100 guests all enjoyed champagne and canapes before being invited to a 'style off' with their friends; dressing each other in items from the Guess store.
The final looks were judged by the Cleo Bachelors and the winner received coveted tickets to the Cleo Bachelor of the Year 2012 grand finale event.

Last month fellow photographer Jessie Hodge and I shot the Charity Event hosted by NFL players John Gilmore and Chad Henne. The charity event was held to raise money to rebuild and restore some local community parks in the Reading Pennsylvania area, giving children modern, safe, and clean areas to play.
The comedy showcase featured comedian headliner Alex Thomas and comedians Pierre, Sid Veda, and Power 99's Tazz Daddy as host. Also featured were Jeremiah Trotter, Kristy Kowal, the Reading Phillies Dance Team, David Cullen, and the John King Dance Band.

After sunday morning service on Easter, we were waiting for a marshrutka to go to Metekhi Church. We met Khatuna and Nino, who were on the way to Sameba Cathedral, at the marshrutka stop. Instead of just telling us which route to take, they stopped a taxi, which we shared to Sameba, which we wanted to see as well. After Sameba, we took a taxi to Meteki and then to their house for dinner.

Hadn't sketched with any purpose in quite a while.
This (very incomplete) piece came out of my recent forays into inking and a project several friend of mine are putting together.
Tetrastigma rafflesiae Miq.
The host of Rafflesia was once called Tetrastigma lanceolarium auct. non Planch. which was later changed to Tetrastigma leucostaphylum (Dennst.) Alston ex Mabb. in 2001, the species again was renamed Tetrastigma tuberculatum (Blume) Latiff. The discussion appeared in TAXACOM discussion group last year on the validity of the name and as a result, the name of the species is finally settled as Tetrastigma rafflesiae Miq.
Follow my stream for other species of Tetrastigma, which belong to grape family (Vitaceae).
For non-botanists who are interested on the discussion and nomenclatural rules, please check my rafflesia-in-bloom.blogspot.com, later. I am in the process of wriitng a note on it.

When I was doing my degree in anthropology I had the chance to do a placement so I decided to go back to where I grew up. The man, Saidu, used to work for my old man; so when I got out to Nigeria I hunted him down and told him I wanted to go to his village to spend a bit of time photographing daily life and doing some research. He was delighted. And I had a hell of an experience.
