About So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation
Host Cat Deeley and judges Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo return for the next generation of the Emmy Award-winning dance competition series. This season features dancers ages 8-13. Their styles range from tap to hip-hop and ballroom to break dancing. During nationwide auditions, the contestants vie for a place at "The Academy," and the best dancers advance to the next round. The top 10 dancers partner with all-stars and move on to the SYTYCD studio. One contestant is eliminated each week until the winner is named during the season finale.

Hanceville Fire & Rescue hosted a visit by the famous North Alabama traveling food merchant Swamp John – Saturday between 4 and 7 pm.
There was a steady line of vehicles (usually 3 to 4 deep) taking advantage of the drive-by pick-up service made available directly through the Fire Station. Also, many more area residents made there way into the main serving areas for sit down plates of fish, chicken, shrimp or combo plats.
According to Hanceville Fire Chief Rodger Green, it was a record turnout,
“We had close to 450 people come through during the 3 hours we were open. That is about 2 1/2 customers per minute. We never had a slow moment!
I really want to thank EVERYONE who came by to support us. All the funds we generated will go directly into supporting the citizens Hanceville and their public safety needs”
Plates were $11.00 each and included a drink and a dessert. There were several celebrity guests who attended including Cullman County Commission Chairman candidate Darrell Hicks, Noah Chappell of the American Red Cross, Fire Chief Maurice Reynolds (and his attractive bride) of Bethsadia Volunteer Fire Department and Hanceville City Councilman Charles Wilson.

2 May 2019. ADB President Takehiko Nakao meeting participants to the host country seminar “30 Under 30: The Faces of Fiji’s Future” at the 52nd ADB Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors.
Panelists were selected from the inaugural class of “30 Under 30,” a new initiative led by the Fijian government that solicited a truly talented pool of nominees.
Hosted by Hearst Corporation and organized by NYC Media Lab on February 26, 2015, Personalizationpalooza featured flash presentations and discussion on technologies for personalization and recommendation ranging from what’s in the lab, what’s being commercialized by startups, and what is being developed by industry.
I was recently honored to be asked to lead a media tour throughout several cities in my home state of Ohio to help legalize cannabis and industrial hemp. Kerala orders probe into religious conversion

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 21 (IANS) A report about 35 people getting converted to Hinduism Sunday would be probed by a senior police official, Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said.
The conversion reportedly took place Sunday morning in Alappuzha and Kollam districts.
In Alappuzha, members of eight Christian families - a total of 30 people - reportedly embraced Hinduism at a temple function organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).
In Kollam, there were five people who reportedly became Hindus.
Additional Director General of Police A. Hemachandran has been asked to probe the matter and submit a report, Chennithala told reporters here Sunday.
"He will look into whether any law was violated," he said.
The VHP, meanwhile, said all those who became Hindus Sunday decided to convert on their own, and all the organisation did was to prepare the stage for it.
Reports said another 300 people in Alappuzha have expressed their desire to embrace Hinduism, and the conversion ceremony was likely to take place on Christmas day.
Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah, who was in the state Saturday, said his party was against forced religious conversion.
Communist Party of India-Marxist state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan, who is currently in Delhi to take part in the politburo meeting, alleged that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was behind Sunday's conversions.
In Kerala, Hindus comprise more than 50 percent of the 32 million population, followed by Muslims with 24 percent while Christians occupy the third place with 22 percent.

Hoover hosted East for a girls and boys varsity basketball doubleheader along with some Unified Sports basketball action on Friday, December 16. The Huskies had a come-from-behind 55-47 win in the girls opener while the home team boys won 84-46. Early in the game, senior Chase Henderson became Hoover's all-time leading scorer.

This was one of the several spots it chose to oviposit on the citrus tree. It carefully examined potential locations and then settled for suitable ones.
It laid eggs all over the tree; up, down, within and without.
All the while, I waited for it to get in a good distance for a shot. I followed slowly when it moves on, or stay still and try to blend into the environment. I imagined it would mistake me for citrus and then...
I lost it several times though, only to discover it moments later still on its business on the tree.
