Homework for Photographic Techniques: Children & Babies

Round 2- Edit

I duplicated the background, and then converted to B& W. Erased around the flower and her shirt to show the color. Added a fabulous texture layer "Lisa's Vintage" and erased it from her face. Dodged her eyes a little. And finished it with a frame :)

I think that is all.

I don't usually edit a whole lot, but this was sooo much fun!!!

Doing my Chinese school homework. Yeah, I'm learning Chinese. I've been learning it for a few years now. I'm learning how to read and write the language. All the teaching is in Cantonese, except for the 30 minutes we have of Mandarin class. Most of the people who are and were in my class were forced to study Chinese. I wasn't forced or anything, I was the one who asked to sign up for Chinese classes. The reason why? Well, it's all because of Chinese dramas from TVB, and after that, Taiwanese dramas. I even wish to work in Asia someday.

Next language I want to learn is Korean! :D...and yeah it's because of Korean dramas of course!

Then it's time to get started on homework.

I had a student write something for me over the weekend related to something that happened Friday.

When he brought it to me this morning, he used the old, "The dog ate my homework!" expression.

Nice try… I had him go type it out for me :)

At least he was good about letting me take a picture of it.

homework for b/w class night shots

Well today was the last day of my school holidays, and I still had some holiday homework left to do. (Can you believe they give us holiday homework and expect it done??) It's my chemistry homework. bleh.

Taken at the Cheesecake Factory in the Cambridgeside Galleria.

This photo is much brighter than the restaurant actually is. I wanted to capture how the cell phone light lit up Crystal's face from below. The overall light level was very low, so I opened up the ISO and aperture settings all the way. As a result, the camera captured not only the cold LED light from the phone, but boosted the warm background light. I was really surprised by the results.

I have so much homework today. so much. Math is difficult, and I'm getting to that stage where there is really nowhere in life that I can apply it. Creative Writing homework is actually enjoyable, I just have to write in a journal about my life, but it's still homework. So instead of doing my tons of homework, I decided to take pictures of it.

i took a few pictures of the school pond with different wind lights which i think makes a big difference it can look spooky or beautiful

Kayla Loyd, a graduate student from Vienna studying workforce education, and Grant Bredar, a junior from Salem studying information systems technology, work on their homework Friday at a Mediascape table on the seventh floor of Morris Library. The Mediascape tables, which are part of the $5.4 million renovation completed Jan. 27, allow students to connect their phones, laptops, or tablets to a large television monitor. Adaptors are available at the library’s circulation desk. –Lewis Marien | DAILY EGYPTIAN

Each week, Amailah picks one book we've read and writes in her homework journal about it. For October, the assignment was to write about your favorite part of one of your books. Kids do this at different levels -- some dictate and the parents write, for example. Amailah likes to write her own and is getting very good at ear-spelling and even regularly gets in some book-spelling of some sight-words (words that aren't spelled phonetically). A parent then writes out the translation at the bottom of the page and Amailah draws some art in the middle.
