I was supposed to be getting some homework done, but Apple sucked me in with some exciting announcements today. Of course it is later in the evening and I already know the story, but I love watching the Steve Jobs presentations.

Homework @ the table
Now that I see it up, I don't think I like the 'silver' exposure in the camera bag app.
First homework in her new preschool classroom: "Find pictures of four things that are red" and label them. I did the cutting (scissors are In Timeout right now), she did the writing over pale lines I gave her to trace from. Except the RED on the line; she did that herself with no exemplar.

.......come to think of it klasswork too :)
... wait I see a pattern here - anything with a suffix work ;)
The little one was sick and stayed home from school yesterday. But that didn't excuse her from doing her homework. :)
took my daughter Maddie to a national choral performance this week in Oklahoma. She got out of class but she did not get out of homework!
I am one of those "mean" dads.
For the next photography class we have to take 2 portrait shots of either a human or an animal. One of them with a shallow depth of field (ca. f5.6), the other medium to long dof (f8-16).
This here is f5.6.
Liva is a willing model, but never for more than 5 seconds, so that I have no time to check that everything is as and where it should be... (perhaps the eyes ought to be a little higher in the picture?)
Life Lesson: Always check your child's homework before it gets to school!
When asked to draw a picture of what they wanted to be when they grew up, 2nd grader Sarah Smith turned in the drawing shown below. Sarah's teacher was surprised, because Mrs.. Smith had always seemed like a conservative woman. She sent a note asking for clarification as to the picture's meaning. ...
Dear Mrs.. Jones,
I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer. I work at Home Depot and I told Sarah how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had. Then I found one more in the back room, and several people were fighting over who would get it. Sarah's picture does NOT show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot. From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.
Sincerely,
Mrs.. Smith
Haven't been shooting photos for a while. Haven't been surfing web for a while....actually I have but not for leisure.
Even surfing flickr was done at only 50% efficiency.
These are the reasons why.
I'm liking having the D70 laying around with the 50mm on it. Although it doesn't do as well with noise (i.e. I can't bump it to 1600 ISO without problems), I like it.

Well that was what I wanted for a long time, a workplace. Where SarahAndrea Royce can work while Sarah Roth works, too.
I started taking a class last Tuesday night to learn how to knit a simple shawl. It involves doing a lot of yarn-overs which create openings in the knit fabric. These make me uneasy because I know if I make a mistake or drop a stitch I'll have NO idea how to reconstruct the stitches. Just need to pay rapt attention and count correctly!
