Tommy's homework this week is to write something about the Great Fire of London. We took a little field trip up to the Monument. I reckon his teacher will be impressed when we had this in :-)
I made a bet with my math class that if everyone turned in their homework for a week, then I would do cartwheels down the hallway for them.
So, of course, they did it.

My daughter’s working hard on some tough maths assignments, after a week of well deserved freedom from school. Although she likes highschool well enough, she realy needed to recupperate from al the hard work she had to do in the first 9 weeks of her new “career”! ;-)
I created my own homework by starting on a project to do a series of interviews with both of my parents (seperated since nearly thirty years). I was inspired by this lovely book. My main motive is to shed some light on parts of my parents past, which are not very well known to me. Especially my father’s family is a blank spot to me. By taping and filming them, while using a laptop, I create some material which could eventually be edited. More importantly I want to make a little Blurb booklet for me and my family, with text and photo’s.
FEM analysis at 3am, ALGOR FEA+RHINO. Geeking off this hour is not a good sign.
This is sacrilegious but i must say windows 7 on a MacBook Pro IS REALLY NAIS. 64bit analysis software runs like a charm after you get the mac Bootcamp drivers updated.
You can see that the desktop pc behind is lagging, that's only on xp 32 bit :P
now if only they made FEM analysis easy on the mac osx

Much like everyone in this country, twelve-year old Aamir seems to know exactly what's wrong with the Indian cricket team. At least, he believes he does, and I spent a good fifteen minutes discussing the alleged rift between Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni with this young Mahim resident. having had some bizarre gastro bug thing, I've been working from home for the last couple of days to avoid infecting the rest of the team.
I could definitely get used to it :)
On Wednesday (day 2 of Pre-K), the girl came home with homework! And thus, the homework battle has already begun. When she got to the rhyming part of the Scholastic handout (the scent of which took me back to the good ol' days of book orders and kitten posters), she got quite frustrated, leading to a massive tantrum. While she simmered in her room, I came up with all sorts of different ways to help her understand rhyming. But, as it turned out, she must've been contemplating it as well. When she finally came downstairs, she knew just what to do. Atta girl! She even drew lines connecting the sock and the clock (though it looks like she circled the pot, she didn't).

CWD 522: Homework
I'm not actually doing homework - I had to pull out one of my beginner Psychology books for the photo LOL I was WAY past this when I finished my last degree - this was just the first book I found :D
Discuss - Composition, bit busy!! Light of the candles a distraction, left the tea towel on the side in the other shot, shelf to my right a distraction, where is the focal point. Photos not as sharp as they could be! First attempt - ‘D’ must try harder! :-)
