A few Christmas decorations. The hearts are from a pattern in the Sew Pretty Christmas Homestyle book.
This is my little reindeer to welcome friends and family on our front door this Christmas. I made him a red rose and appliqued it rather than paint it on.
Vegetable, bean and noodle stew/soup (ash), spinach omelette (kuku), onion and green pepper salad, tomato and cucumber chunks in vinegar and herb dressing.
Delicious.

Drinking rose bud tea is said to be good for the heart, de-stress and beautify the skin. One or two teaspoons of rose buds will make a flavourful, fragrant and caffeine free tea. Do not discard rose buds after one infusion; continue to use them for a second and third time. Sweetened with honey or sugar if preferred.

Not a bad attempt for this new concoction, which is delicious. Prawns and squids cooked with homestyle potato chips and curry ingredients.
Actually before this seafood curry crossed my mind, I was thawing the prawns and squids for using in my newfound recipe of okonomiyaki. We ate okonomiyaki, which is a Japanese pancake-pizza at the food corner at CK Tang many years ago. Back then it was deliciously served with dried, shaved bonito and mayonnaise.
"Okonomi" means "as you like". This refers to the ingredients, which includes seafood, chicken, beef, mushrooms, carrots, cabbage, bacon, cheese and etc.

Between, we had a bad experience with these creatures! Both ER and I were bitten by one of the crabs we bought months ago! Back then; the inflicted wound on ER’s forefinger warranted an injection to avoid infection and multiple visits to see a doctor. I had minor cuts. Believe to reduce “heatiness” from the body; young coconuts are handy to have in the fridge in hot season! In Penang Island, pandan flavoured coconuts are available and they cost RM$2.00 per fruit. I bought them at S$1.30 each from the supermarket.
In my childhood home in Kundang, Selangor in West Malaysia, we have a few species of coconut trees and many varieties of fruit trees in the compound. Whenever we want to eat young coconuts, my youngest uncle would pluck them from the trees! [Jenny]

This soup is equally tasty with watercress although mustard greens/choy sam is the most common veggie used. Other vegetable substitutes like spring onions, Chinese parsley, lettuce or chrysanthemum greens/tong hao are just as yummy.
This is a one-in-all meal eaten with rice. ER was especially satisfied as he had a good share to satisfy his palate.

Between, my index finger is still healing SO, ER helped to peel the prawns. To contained infection, I had taken antibiotic tablets for close to a month after being pricked by prawn! From now I still have to apply antibiotic ointment and anti-fungal cream day and night until it heals…
French beans that had been sliced thinly were easier to cook through and absorbed flavours better. I should have thinly sliced the chicken fillets too.

Just opposite the exit to Raffles Link / Marina Square, on the wall you will see a Cast Bronze Relief Tablets, The Record 1981, by Cheung Yee. The artwork consists of 120 rectangular bronze plaques. Each plaque depicts different scenes and auspicious symbols that were prevalent in ancient Chinese cities: Fortune, Longevity, Sun, Dragon and Phoenix, Harvest and so forth. The artwork’s vertical script read from left to right resemble a page from a Chinese character text book and serves as a “Heavenly book, a recorded history of earth over time and its reader, the Universe.
