This Niagara-On-The-Lake home received a complete exterior makeover from pressure washing to weatherproofing to painted finish. These homeowners had Old School Painting transform every inch to give their property a nore modern look.
A little color on the walls, the new windows, and a new ceiling fan light warmed this room right up. The original floors were carpeted. Removing the carpet from the second story revealed beautiful hardwoods that just needed a little polish.
The painting is done. Today, my dad and uncle are laying the linoleum and hanging the cabinets.

I love these granite counter tops. I usually can't stand granite. I think it's too busy and flashy. But these are almost a solid black, which so simply and elegantly off-sets the white cabinets. All of which lets that stainless steel shine, and allows that GORGEOUS backsplash tile to sing.
You can't see this in any of the pictures, but one of my first surprises in working on this house was finding out that all of the ceilings on the second floor were held up by duct tape. According to the guy who delivered this news to me, "One good slam of the front door and the whole ceiling could fall down on you." So, unexpected expense #1 became to totally replace all second-floor ceilings.
