Diced chicken cooked in Panang Curry Paste mixed with soup stock and turmeric served over steamed carrots, broccoli, water chest nuts and snap peas.
The left is the start, the right is done.
I made a rue of milk, butter and flour - added diced veal, a sweet onion, garlic, asparagus, corn, carrots, green beans, oregeno, corriander flakes, potatoes, salt, black pepper, cumin, curry, chili powder, smoked paprika, adobo and a few other spices for a little "punch".
It was very tasty.

i missed the jerk chicken from this dive in palo alto so much i decided to cook it myself. it's difficult finding certain condiments in hawaii... luckily my local store had jerk and periperi.
I used the slow cooked and cooked boneless-skinless chicken breast and thighs in tomato sauce, basil, oregano, diced tomatoes, fresh garlic, rosemary, kosher salt, Parmesan cheese and diced mushrooms for ten hours. Added jumbo macaroni, 2 ounces (uncooked) per meal. I divided it in to 5 meals - about 10 points on Weight Watcher's Points Plus.
I made a curry stew for tonight's dinner. It has lentils, carrots, a pinch of garlic, peas, green beans, corn, chicken (white meat), chicken broth, white rice and I thickened with plain Greek yogurt. Also.a few spices. (Served in the new pottery bowl I got yesterday.)
I made it up as I went along and it was very good, if I do say so myself.
I made the soup for dinner -- chicken thighs, carrots, green bean, corn, asparagus, peas, pasta and lots of different spices.
I used a sweet red pepper, green bell peppers, tomato, garlic, red onion, red kidney beans and three different hot peppers from the garden - I served it over white rice. Frank sat by the stove the entire time - I gave him and the other two rice with a little cheese.

The Magazine Bon Apetit recently featured a bread that takes 4 days to prepare and then bake. Very robust and with an equally robust crust. I thought it was as good as any I have ever had. The household baker, however, thought it was a bit too much of a chore.
At the top is jalapeño pepper jelly on cream cheese and crackers; next is guacamole on chops, and bottom os split pea soup.
made wonton noodles (云吞面) with the wontons i made earlier. just boiled some chinese noodles & tossed it well with some seasoning, before serving it dry with cooked wontons & some leftover prawns for the wonton filling.
the filling's made of a mixture of minced pork, minced prawns, minced garlic & onion, spring onion, pepper, soy sauce, cornstarch & sesame oil. just wrap the meat into the wonton wrapper and voila, these little parcels lay in rows waiting to be cooked.
I made a casserole of beets,green bean,mushroom, onion, turnips, risotto, white rice, olive oil, balsamic cinegar, vegetable soup stock and then this is the "Sort of: part -I put some provolone cheese on top.
I butterflied a young chicken (cut out the backbone and laid it flat). I removed the skin (except the wings, they are a pain to skin), spiced it down and baked it. I have plenty left over but I ate plenty and so did the dogs. For dessert the dogs got carrot, apple andcheese chunks; I had an apple.
It is in the oven right now - vegetarian lasagna. (onions, mushrooms, spinach, red and green bell peppers - and for heat I sprinkled Chili 3000 on one layer to test it out).
I used a Smart Stick hand blender to smooth out some diced tomatoes and Greek yogurt, added a bunch of my favorite spices, carrots, peas, green beans and corn, white rice and extra firm tofu.
Recently Yumi and Lee invited us round to meet their new arrival and cooked some super Korean food.

I cubed some chicken breast and sauteed them in Jamaican Jerk seasonings and then finished cooking them with rice, saffron, pimentos, green beans, corn, carrots and peas. It made 4 serving of 7 points each on the Weight Watcher's Points Plus system.
I peeled the kohlrabi and diced it up and microwaved it for 5 minutes. I popped some brown mustard seeds in olive oil, added vegetable soup stock, garlic, onion, diced tomatoes, green chilies, turmeric, cumin, white pepper, a little salt, red curry paste, the kohlrabi greens and stems, and added the diced kohlrabi and cooked it on low heat for about 25 minutes until the sauce thickened.
It was great. I had never tried kohlrabi before.
I made myself an Omelette to using the recipe that contestants on "The Worst Cook" show to see how difficult it was - almost everyone over-browned there omelette - and so did I! But it tasted great.
I slow cooked some chicken in a Jamaican Jerk Sauce with added peppers. I cooked a bunch. I ate a little with rice and saved the rest for future meals.
