Cette semaine, j'ai visité, avec Xavier Niel et son équipe, l’école 42 qui forme un millier de jeunes aux métiers de développeur web & informatique. Une intéressante innovation sociale et pédagogique.
L’innovation dans le domaine du numérique comme ailleurs a besoin de la diversité des parcours et de la mixité.
Nous avons choisi de faire de 2014 l’année de la mixité : Ce sera l’occasion appeler les jeunes femmes à s’emparer des outils du numérique, langages de demain, et à en faire leur métier.

A dynamic event held for students, parents, and educators, that featured STEM industry leaders and showcased classes and various projects built by HCLS' HiTech students (including a hovercraft, catapult, weather balloon, and music in our new sound booth). Middle and high school students participated in this STEM education initiative that teaches cutting-edge science, technology, engineering, and math via project-based classes that included computer programming, 3D animation, nanotechnology, music/video production, e-books, game apps, cybersecurity, green energy, and robotics. Held at HCLS Savage Branch and STEM Education Center.

The good thing about this time of year is that the sun rises at a reasonable time, meaning you don't have to get up really early..
Decided on St Abbs for sunrise as Martin was going to be over for the sunrise so thought we would go to meet him.
Me and Mel met up with Martin and it was a superb morning to be out. Lovely colours in the sky and plenty of clouds around too.

Finally sprung for a 100mm filter holder and filter setup from Formatt-Hitech. Just B&W filters thus far, and a selection of adapter rings that covers all my lenses. Why does this stuff cost so much?

Taken at Sundays sunset on Porthleven beach, loved the way the waves were tumbling over the rocks as the tide came in, used a 3 stop filter to slow the exposure a little bit to get the motion of the wave action.

La Sirenita, esculpida en bronce, es el símbolo más prominente de la ciudad de Copenhague.
A mi particularmente no es lo que más me llamo la atención de la ciudad, pero reconozco que es inevitable acercarte y sacar la típica foto de ella, cosa bastante difícil, pues esta permanentemente rodeada de turistas.
