I know I have took and posted a similar picture before but this was taken with my new Hi Tech 10mm 10 stop filter with a lee 0.6 ND grad so wanted to show everyone.
The sky was quite white at this point but the nd grad bought back some detail.
i did colour correct this but decided it actually looked nice with a cooler colour so changed it back slightly.
This is a 130 second exposure thanks to my new Hi Tech filter.
Back to work tomorrow so won't be on as much for a couple of days but will be getting out with my new stuff soon for some picture taking.
My camera was on my tripod and fired via cable release using bulb mode and timed with my watch.
Getting my photo mojo back so I've got lots of ideas springing back into my mind again.

So after a day of rain,sleet and snow, we decided to go for food at The Clachaig Inn. Sunset was approaching and the sky was changing so after eating we stopped off at the falls 2 mins along from the Inn. So with umbrella in hand and the rain on my back I managed to make this dramatic shot of the falls as a bit of colour filled the sky. Please Enjoy!

Hier ist es: eine Lebenszeichen. Ja, es gibt mich noch. Aber der Dezember 2016 ist wie Dezember (mindestens in meinem Alltag) halt so sind: barbarisch voll. Das meiste ist auch von der Liste inzwischen - da kann ich dann ja auch mal wieder etwas posten. Es sind noch genug Bilder aus 2016 in meiner to-post-Lightroom-Sammlung, die darauf warten, raus in die Welt geschickt zu werden.
Starten wir also den 2016-Showdown. Heute: das fränkische Gizeh in Fürth. Ich glaube, es datiert aus Anfang August. Ist schoa weng her ;-)

Another image from yesterday and my walk into the Moffat Hills. This is looking down Moffat Water and the snow covered hills looking in the direction of Moffat. Hopefully within the next 6 months we will be moving to Moffat, one of the reasons we have been spending so much time in the area recently and getting to know the place better.

Val d'Orcia
The landscape of Val d’Orcia is part of the agricultural hinterland of Siena, redrawn and developed when it was integrated in the territory of the city-state in the 14th and 15th centuries to reflect an idealized model of good governance and to create an aesthetically pleasing picture. The landscape’s distinctive aesthetics, flat chalk plains out of which rise almost conical hills with fortified settlements on top, inspired many artists. Their images have come to exemplify the beauty of well-managed Renaissance agricultural landscapes. The inscription covers: an agrarian and pastoral landscape reflecting innovative land-management systems; towns and villages; farmhouses; and the Roman Via Francigena and its associated abbeys, inns, shrines, bridges, etc.
Justification for Inscription.
Criterion (iv): The Val d’Orcia is an exceptional reflection of the way the landscape was re-written in Renaissance times to reflect the ideals of good governance and to create an aesthetically pleasing pictures.
Criterion (vi): The landscape of the Val d’Orcia was celebrated by painters from the Siennese School, which flourished during the Renaissance. Images of the Val d’Orcia, and particularly depictions of landscapes where people are depicted as living in harmony with nature, have come to be seen as icons of the Renaissance and have profoundly influenced the development of landscape thinking.
