Came across this one from way back in Oct 2006. The 3 week trip took us through many vibrant and overcrowded but lovely cities throughout India. Lots of pictures where taken in little time. Thought is was worth seeing if LR could help this one out a bit. It's still much prettier in person. I plan go back again soon and give Rajasthan another look. Lots can change in a decade. New Delhi even has a metro :)

This opulent Venetian Gothic mansion was erected by John and Mable Ringling in the mid 1920's. It was bequeathed to the state of Florida by the circus magnate in 1936. "Ca' d' Zan" is Venetian for "house of John."

The bottom end of Monte Cassino to the pier has had a complete facelift and central to this multi-million euro development is the next incarnation of the Resort House (Dom Zdrojowy), the return of which signals Sopot aim to once again be present on the top table of Europe’s resorts.

The Crooked House also called the Drunken House was built in 2003. this eccentric style was based on the architecture of Antoni Gaudi. Inside you will find cafeterias, restaurants and shops.

The area today known as Cabbagetown was first known as the village of Don Vale, just outside of Toronto. It is located on the east side of downtown Toronto and comprises "the largest continuous area of preserved Victorian housing in North America", according to the Cabbagetown Preservation Association.

Work on the pier has been completed, and this includes the addition of a marina which reputedly cost €11 million and which now provides Sopot with moorings for around 100 yachts, as well as a full support network of chandlers and marina management.

Here is the interior of the incredible Wade Chapel. All of the mosaic tile artwork was designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933), and is truly exquisite.

Candles are not permitted in this chapel. In fact, this was the first structure in Cleveland to be lit by electricity.

I'll call this the Hunter Home, mainly because the surname "Hunter" is inlaid in brick over the garage door. Brilliant, huh?

It appears that the garage was added much later to this late 19th-early 20th Century structure.

It is one of Poland’s most famous streets, frequently clogged in high season, and fondly known as Monciak (Mon-chack) to the locals.

There's something humbling about walking the same path that people did hundreds of years ago. As I crossed this wooden bridge towards the towering ruins, I was struck by the permanence of the past. The clouds seemed to dance around the stone, adding a dramatic backdrop to these remnants of history

The Royal Castle of Pollenzo, was transformed in the 19th century from a medieval village into a refined royal residence by King Charles Albert of the House of Savoy. Designed in a picturesque neo-Gothic style, it served as a private retreat for the Italian royal family and a symbol of Romantic-era architecture. Today, part of the UNESCO World Heritage site 'Residences of the Royal House of Savoy,' Pollenzo also hosts a university dedicated to gastronomic sciences, blending royal heritage with culinary tradition.
