Arguably the most photographed object in Sopot, Centrum Rezydent's 4,000m2 of luscious curves are topped with a roof of blue-green enamelled shingles designed to give the impression of a dragon. Filled with shops, bars and cafes, the building promises more from the outside than it actually delivers once you've entered.
Architect Thomas U. Walter designed the second of three phases of this building in 1835. An older barn structure is seen in the rear.

The Highlands Mansion and Gardens, Ft. Washington, Pennsylvania are administered by the Highlands Historical Society. Anthony was a great uncle to John and Lydia Morris who founded the Morris Arboretum. A group from the Morris Arboretum visited in May.

Now guy is retired and over the years he collected an amazing amount of all kind of fisherman gear, some quite very long. Some were used by him, and his father also fisherman, some he got from his friends. He used to fish in Baltic Sea, North Sea, Atlantic etc.

These long, thin houses are among the oldest, architecture brought from Barbados. Note the door to the veranda, known as a "Privacy door."

The Wade Memorial Chapel
The Wade Chapel, built between 1898 and 1900 by the grandson of Jeptha Homer Wade (1811-1890), the founder of Western Union. It was built in Greek Revival style with Ionic columns.

The interior of this small chapel is amazing. It was designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) It is hand-inlaid mosaic tile, and has a Tiffany-designed stained glass window, widely considered to be one of his finest religious works.
