Highway A1 to Amsterdam, Made in a bussy evening traffic at Hengelo, My home city. Driving this highway every day nearly for work, @PowerspeX.
DESCRIPTION OF HISTORIC PLACE
Union Point United Church, a small wooden country church built in 1940, is set on open space between the north- and southbound lanes of Highway 75, about six kilometres south of Ste. Agathe. The municipal designation applies to the church, an adjacent cemetery and the grounds they occupy.
HERITAGE VALUE
Union Point United Church and its cemetery are significant as the last built features that remain on the original site of the former Union Point settlement. The cemetery's earliest burial, from 1879, recalls the agricultural community's pioneer origins. The landmark building, an enduringly simple Gothic Revival-style structure that succeeded an 1887 Presbyterian facility, likewise serves as a prominent and poignant memorial to Union Point because of its dramatic location between the lanes of one of the busiest divided highways in southern Manitoba.

On California State Highway 91, passing under state route 71, which is known by the locals as the Chino Valley Freeway. California Highway 91 grows from 2 lanes to 8 lanes in each direction as highways converge to snake around and through the hills and valleys of the Santa Ana Mountains in Orange County.
Road trip, last weekend down to Pambula Beach to visit my sister, Liz. I love the way the road winds sinuously through this landscape - Vanessa taking photos while I am driving - but in the end I sketched most of these from memory. It gets locked into your brain. Bottom left and right sketched from iPhone the rest from memory the last night .
Bighorn Country, Alberta, CANADA
One of the less travelled but very scenice highways in Alberta.

Looks like a drone view, but I was on a cliff looking down.
Diablo Lake, along the North Cascades Highway in Washington State. The emerald green color is caused by the suns reflection on glacier-ground rock dust suspended in the water.
Between Mesa, Arizona and Fountain Hills, Arizona lies a vast open space that includes beautiful mountains and the Salt River. If you look to the southeast from the river, you find views like this as the sun rises on the horizon.
I got a new tripod recently and it's opened up new opportunities to show more of the dynamic range of the views I'm seeing on my excursions. What a difference a tripod makes!
…or turn right if you want to go to Dease Lake, BC, Canada. Arriving at Junction 37 on May 20, 2008.

HFF and TGIF!
Hopefully I can make it around to everyone's stream at some point today.
Have a great weekend!
This was taken on our way back from the dunes and Mexicali trip during the thanksgiving vacation. This road parallels the U.S.-Mex border which is just a short distance to the south (left) in this photo.

California 98 parallels Interstate 8 between the freeway and the international border with Mexico. It passes through the city of Calexico, and otherwise passes by rural farms and remote desert environs. Beginning at Interstate 8 at the foot of In-ko-pah Gorge, California 98 merges back onto Interstate 8 east of Holtville
