Driving through the snow-capped mountains of Scotland, when I had to heave over to one side to capture this.

If you drive north from Jokulsarlon on Iceland's Highway One, this is the sight that greets you on the left. Something out of LOTR.

AC/DC – Highway to Hell
This is one of my favorite shots taken with my mobile phone. Some good filtering enhanced the mysterious feeling.
Evening photo on Montana's Highway 200, east of Missoula. The only camera I had with me at the time was an old point & shoot. To quote another photographer I know, "The best camera is the one you have with you at the moment."
Reminded me of this song from the TV show, "Then Came Bronson" in the 70's.
Going down that long lonesome highway
Bound for the mountains and the plains
Sure ain't nothing here gonna tie me
And I got some friends I'd like to see
One of these days I'm gonna settle down
But till I do I won't be hanging round
Going down that long lonesome highway
Gonna live life my way
One of these days I'm gonna settle down
But till I do I won't be hanging round
Going down that long lonesome highway
Gonna live life my way
Yes I'm going down that long lonesome highway
Gonna live life my way
Believe or not, I set up my tripod in the middle of this road and took a few selfies here. There was only one car came by and that was it. You can see the lane divider is not that straight.

Here's AC DC with 'Highway To Hell':

So I attended the AC DC 'Power Up' concert at the Sydney (Accor) Olympic Stadium, at Homebush in western Sydney, last Friday 21st November, 2025, and then again on Monday, 25th November, 2025.
It was VERY loud but amazingly energetic. My two daughters were NOT at all impressed, arguing that Taylor Swift is far better and more popular. "Well," I argued back, "let's see who has sold more tickets, and which tickets sold the fastest?" So we looked at the Ticketek website and guess what? AC DC destroyed Taylor Swift for sales!!! "OMG," declared Miss 18, "there must be SO many old people in Sydney." See what I live with.
A mobile phone photograph of dubious quality, lol.
Processed, to some extent, in Adobe Lightroom.
Scenic drive along the Richardson Highway Alaska, with Mt. Sandford outstanding on a heavenly landscape.
I love the scenery along 149 but I really like coming around the curve and checking out this view of a "red" mountain.
Between Creede and Lake City Colorado USA
Some commutes are better than others, this is one of those. This is what I have to endure on the way home from a day in Denver, Colorado. The snow covered mountains are the continental divide, some rising over 14,000 feet high.

Originally a railroad tunnel only, at 13,300 feet in length, it's also the longest highway tunnel in North America. Vehicle convoys enter the tunnel in alternating directions every half hour, interspersed by the occasional train.
Waddling gentoo penguins on Danco Island, Antarctica, have created this highway between their nesting areas and the sea.
A classic desert southwest driving scene, driving up to Monument Valley from the Grand Canyon. Took this with my Canon S90 point and shoot laying in the middle of the highway (not advised!).
