Titsey Place manor house to be exact.. Shot in twilight, tripod used.
The house dates back to the 16th century and Titsey park is one of the largest surviving historic estates in Surrey.
This is a Panorama out of 4 x 80MegaPixel Higheres Pen-F Shots.
I did some Postprocessing to eliminate the Blur in the Water and to delete the movement of the people.

Gave the high resolution mode on the new camera a try last night. Didn't get the composition right (chopped the top off the steeple) or the shutter speed - stars are moving since this is a 8 x 8 second exposure. But it was cold - much colder than it looks - and I'd already taken a couple of shots.
With this photo I stay with the subject of trees but change location. Another impression from the fairytale laurel woods of the Fanal on the isle of Madeira. To get as much details as possible I made a panorama from 6 vertical shots in HDR.

Landsat image that shows the extent of Thomas wildfires in southern California. This image was acquired after the fires that raged in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. The Thomas fires started on December 4, 2017 and became the largest ever in California history.

The Vallis Alps and Plato Crater. Look around the 6:30 position, or just left near the bottom to locate Plato Crater on the surface. The image scale is 0.11 ArcSec/Pixel on the closeup image vs 0.8 ArcSec/Pixel on the full moon. Image scale can be fun.

Somerleyton Hall is one of the great Victorian “statement” houses of East Anglia, sitting close to the Suffolk–Norfolk border. Although an earlier house stood here for centuries, the hall seen today is largely the result of a major rebuild and transformation in the mid-1800s after the estate was bought by Sir Samuel Morton Peto (1809–1889).
Peto was a giant of the railway age: a civil engineering contractor involved in major railway building and other large infrastructure projects. He also stepped into national politics and served as an MP. Somerleyton became his opportunity to create a showpiece home that looked impressive from a distance and dazzled up close, with a fashionable mix of styles rather than a strict copy of one historical period.
The hall’s exterior is immediately recognisable for its warm red brick and pale stone detailing, with lively chimneys and a dramatic tower that gives the building its skyline. That tall tower is often assumed to be purely decorative, but estates of this era commonly combined “useful engineering” with architecture. At Somerleyton the tower is widely understood to have had a practical role as part of the estate’s water system, while also acting as an eye-catching feature to announce the house across the flat landscape.
There is also a separate clock tower at Somerleyton, which is part of what makes the hall feel so distinctive and slightly theatrical. The clock is associated with the renowned Victorian clockmaker Benjamin Vulliamy, adding a nice detail for anyone who likes the craftsmanship behind these estates as much as the architecture itself.
Peto’s work here wasn’t limited to the building. The gardens and pleasure grounds were laid out to match the confidence of the new hall. The famous yew maze dates from the Victorian period, and the formal layout is very much from the age when wealthy owners wanted visitors to experience the estate as a sequence of grand views and surprises.
A curious modern footnote: the Somerleyton area is linked with the early development story of the hovercraft, because Sir Christopher Cockerell carried out early experiments and demonstrations locally before the idea became a practical reality. He was based at Ripplecraft in Somerleyton (his boatyard) where the hovercraft idea took shape.
i've been using textures for some time now, some that I made and some I got from the wonderful people here on flickr. I figured since they were so helpful for sharing their textures I would share some of mine. These are either textures that I have made completely from scratch or from mixing photos and ps techniques to get a look I like.

This aerial view shows the remains of Exton Old Hall, standing within the parkland of Exton near Oakham, Rutland.
Exton Old Hall was the earlier principal mansion of the Noel family, later Earls of Gainsborough. The house developed over several centuries, with much of the surviving fabric dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, reflecting a substantial Tudor and later country house that preceded the present Exton Hall.
A major fire in 1810 severely damaged the building and it was never rebuilt as a residence. Portions remained standing and were reused for estate purposes until a further fire in 1915 led to final abandonment. Today, only fragmented walls, chimneys and gables survive, partially screened by trees.
The ruins are a Scheduled Monument, protected for their historical importance as evidence of the former centre of the Exton estate and its architectural evolution before the construction of the 19th-century hall.

I'm experimenting with upsizing some Nikon D800, D800E, & D810 HDR photographs to the 8288 x 5520 or 8256 x 5504 resolution of the Nikon D850! The Pixel dimensions of the Nikon D810 are 7360 × 4912 pixels. The D810's pixel width of 7360 pixels is about 90% of the D850's pixel width of 8256 pixels. Thus, at 90%, it would be hard to tell the difference between photos taken with the two Nikons, except in the very largest prints perhaps! The D810 has 36.3 megapixels or 36 megapixels, while the D850 has 45.7 megapixels, or 46 megapixels.
