High contrast rendition of an office build in downtown Oklahoma City.

It’s been a while since the boneyard beckoned but since my feet have been plagued with all sorts of lumps, bumps and general agony I figured I’d best be picking out a plot under a shady tree.

Our local city cemetary is a disgrace, overgrown and untended, given the choice I’d go for the one in Alicante where at least it is looked after.

Maybe I’ll set up a GoFund me page…anyways, this was shot using the Nikon 135mm f2 DC at f2.8 mounted on Lumix S5M2 using Leica Photostyle, I still had to dial in a little more contrast in post because that’s how I like it.

So a big departure from my people shots to the world of modern structures and abstract photography.

Nottingham is a great place but doesn't have the skyscrapers of London. We have a few of the modern style glass structures though. This is the Trinity Building which is located in the centre of the city.

Taken today on a sweltering sunny Tuesday I've used a high contrast process and messed around with the colour mix to change the look and feel of the black and white. Hopefully this has injected some drama in to the composition.

I saw these vines on a wall that looked very interesting. I played with the white color balance and over exposed to result in a high contrast photo which made the vines and leaves "pop". I hope you like it.

Trying the painted look again.. I've limited the effect this time i'm hoping to strike a happy medium that i like...!

I had all but given up waiting for a plane to fly through when this one appeared suddenly. No time to check the composition, it was just point, shoot and hope for the best.Canada Square

The camera sees things differently than the eye. It doesn't exactly lie, nor does it really tell the truth. It just records. The rest is up to the optical engineers, the glass, and the darkroom deities.

Bright light and deep shadows can't hide the beauty of this flower.

Rayonier Group has collaborated with the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties and the Kingston-North Kitsap Rotary Club to create the North Kitsap United project, which made an initial presentation to North Kitsap residents in summer 2023.

High Contrast .

My first idea for this week was a square on shot of the front end of a mid to late 50s Chevy Bel Air with it's face full of chrome , trouble is they are a bit rare this way so I had to make do with an oblique view of a Jaguar - think it is an XE . Being white it attracted me for the high contrast , but playing around with the shot I found a very tight crop and a slight sepia conversion with a further play with the colour made for a suitable shot for this week's challenge . And before you ask , no that is not it's real reg. plate number - as I usually do I alter number plates for people's privacy . As I took out the letters a bit at a time , the computer one by one just replacing them with the numbers which looks better than just some squirlley obliterations .

In the first comment box is another high contrast shot , this time in colour - looks like this chap likes his VW Beetles !!
