You can really see the tidal changes by comparing this image to the previous post at low tide. Haystack Rock and The Needles at Cannon Beach, Oregon. A circular polarizer came in handy to eliminate glare and add contrast between the blue sky and white clouds.

High Street in Oxford, also known as The High, is one of the most alive streets in Oxford, it is its heart. These coloured houses are located between colleges and date from the XVI-XVIII centuries. The one on the right is the University of Oxford book store, and dates from medieval times. The pink building was occupied by a bootmaker and his wife, two kids, a servant, and a student in 1851. Later on, a hairdresser moved in with his family. All these houses have their own story. Could you imagine how would it have been to live there in the XVIII century?

From the doorstep of my house, using a zoom lens (as I'd been caught out and soaked earlier) I had to shoot these huge waves coming onto the street, not the best day for sitting on the blue bench for sure

The vastness of nature always puts things in perspective for me. After seeing this, day to day issues appear irrelevant.

Wintering Flamingoes wading the lagoon at low tide.

They are everywhere,at least however you turn your camera. This spider was quite low to the ground but i shot upwards to create the look of a sky high Spider !

Besides falling asleep, falling for something or someone is the next most similar thing to feeling as if we inhabit a dream.

In between nostalgia and the weight of things not meant to be, the feeling of betrayal is the one we end up kissing the hardest. We plant our throne so high up in the skies, that when it remains uncomfortable no matter how often we try to flower it or if we find out that in the end that kingdom does not belong to us anymore, disappointment locks us inside a cell so terrifyingly high too, that descending into the abyss sounds more comfortable than facing the fear of falling without it ever materialising.

The silence is so strong, giving up so harsh. And here I am rising myself to the skies trying to look at the stars a bit nearer. I’m shooting for them this time, carrying my longing soul and broken heart towards the universe so it can heal amongst the cosmos and let me rest a bit easier tonight. 🌟

Since the nut-tree poles are fairly high and very slippery, a single climber would have almost no chance of reaching the top, so contestants usually work together and split the rewards, if they succeed. Prizes consist of foods, like cheese, sugar, flour, and clothes.

Recent heavy rains have brought the Little Miami River out of its banks causing road closures in some areas. But, I've seen it a lot worse than this in the past.
