Literally that is what I am in......"Hexagon Bliss". I am using Bliss by Camille Roskelley to hand sew my first ever hexagons. I had tried it before with a plastice template and it just didn't seem to work. After seeing some videos and tutorials the other day about paper piecing I decided to give it another try. I started on Thursday evening and now have 84 hexagons done. I figure with football and cheerleading starting in the next week everynight I am sure to get at least 100 done a week. So at that rate in 6months I should have enough for a 40x60 quilt. I have to say I do find it relaxing to do a bit of hand-sewing.

Print and cut this plan out. Then glue the ends together and you have a perfect parabolic triangular shape that should work great for a solar cooker reflector.
I wanted to post something before the weekend and before Karen's next class starts.
After complaining about the vintage fabric, I went back to it and had great fun cutting and rearranging it with some silk dupion hexagons and backing. It may get more web stitches. As I was working on it, it asked to be a pocket, open at the top, 3 sides and bottom mounted (in some way?) on my next block to accompany the sad clown cross stitch.
Have a great weekend all. See some of you Monday at Karen's next class.

It is stacked pleat tess by Ben Parker with some Edisonesque 3D transformation.
Also I folded the grid the other way around, like Jorge explained here.
Thanks, my friends, for being so inspirational !
