Shot taken at Deas Island Regional Park In Ladner, British Columbia-they swung around for me briefly before taking off. Looking healthy and well fed!

Whytecliff Park, British Columbia.

I have spent almost a week on Salt Spring Island, in the Southern Gulf Islands just off the much larger, well-known Vancouver Island. Amidst artists, winemakers, coffeeshop owners and simply incredibly resourceful, talented and warm-hearted people. Sounds like a snapshot of what Canada is all about? In essence, you've got it all here on Salt Spring Island and more. I completely fell. Head over heels. And already know I'll be back here .. soon !!!

Notice the symmetry here. It's also got a subject (the tree) on the side third, so it's kind of symmetrical AND rule of thirds :)

Here I have shot the entire storefront, but it's still not a wide shot.

1/1000s will stop motion. The closer you can get to the water the better.

Notice the grainy image at high ISO.

Look at the solid grey colour to see how pixelated it has become. Fine unless we are printing or creating a book.
