A shot of the Inner Harbour looking out on the Blue Bridge with Harbour Air and the tiny tour boats in for front.
On our way to Up the Creek Bed and Breakfast. Another 23 klm past Telegraph Creek which is 113 klm on a gravel road from Dease Lake, Northern British Columbia.
Spring is finally upon us. This being Canada, however, we are still seeing evidence that winter was here in full force.
Anytime I see a creek I'm reminded of Heraclitus' "panta rei" (everything flows). They are in my opinion some of the most serene settings nature has to offer. I love contemplating life while enjoying their silky smooth waters and the pleasant sound of the water steadily shaping the rocks.

When I asked my friends on social media to vote for a photo of the day, most picked the lamb photo that I already posted. However, there was a clear runner-up: this photo of a very snowy road up a local mountain. Soon after I took it, I had to turn around because my car started to look like a snowplow.
I know it's not great for the environment, but I've always found white fences and green pastures to be incredibly appealing.
This small herd of four wild horses moved with incredible harmony and symmetry. It looked like synchronized grazing.
Looking south towards Stanley Park, from Grouse Mountain, there is a copper sheen on the water as the sun sets. Ships queue, waiting to make their way under the Lions Gate Bridge and unload their cargo. Grouse Mountain is about a 20 minute drive from downtown Vancouver across the Lions Gate Bridge. Night views of the City and the Grouse Nest Restaurant are fantastic, even for those that don't ski. Cypress & Mt. Seymour are nearby & Whistler is about 70 km to the north of Grouse, via the Sea to Sky Hwy. 2010 Olympics coming soon!
Finding a suitable rental accommodation in the Okanagan is proving to be quite challenging, so we expanded our circle to include Kamloops. We had an opportunity to see a house there, so we went. A last minute road trip sort of thing.
Another wild cutie from yesterday evening. If you look closely, you'll see the rain. We were getting soaked. The horses didn't seem to mind.
I like how this picture captures the Okanagan landscape, the current haziness caused by smoke, and colorful summer hues.
Gone are the days of people happily floating down the channel. Still, a beautiful sight captured here with my phone.
After Expresso I went right over to the original: Digger!! Short, steep, technical AF and sometimes you just looked at your next move and thought to yourself how the fuck is that even a trail!! Video makes this trail honestly no justice. It’s basically that super technical bit on Dr.No the entire time.

I came across a pair of coyotes just before sunset. One of them decided to hunt for rodents by diving in the snow. It was successful and briefly posed with its prey in its mouth.
Today was bittersweet for me. I found dozens of wild horses, including this gorgeous stallion. Unfortunately, I also found a dead mare; a somber reminder of what life in the wild is like.
As I mentioned before, we can discuss the ethics of the meat and dairy industries altogether, but it's always nice to see that many Canadian farm animals get to enjoy a free-range existence. In this ranch among the mountains, there were hundreds of cows and calves running around freely. I've never seen cows so spunky and happy before.
