Another view of the camellia flowers that are blooming in my garden right now. 3 previous pictures were taken with Pentacon 50mm lens, but here is one I took with the Helios 44-2 lens. I choose f8 here for the better overall sharpness and to show a dark leaves counterposition to the bright pink flower. The famous Helios bokeh is of course diminished with f8.

Fantastic sunset this evening, so dug out the old Helios 44-2 and the Sony A6000 hoping for a bit of unusual lens flare.
Echo, Odense
I den græske mytologi blev bjergnymfen Echo kendt som personifikationen af ekkoet. Ifølge Ovid blev hun straffet af Hera for at have forsinket hende med hendes snak, mens Zeus havde en affære med en anden skovnymfe. Som en konsekvens kunne den snakkeglade pige kun gentage, hvad andre sagde. Senere blev hun forelsket i den unge og smukke Narcissos, men da han afviste hende, blev hun gradvist reduceret til blot at være en stemme.
Mincendorf is a coutryside cat. Real-deal. Catching mice, etc. However - he recently fought a fox and almost had his neck snapped. He now has two large red marks on his neck + ~20% of his fur is gone from that fight....but he somehow survived that ! :)
Lens is Helios 44-2 (58mm f2.0) via m42 adapter to EF mount
