at 3f or -16c 10 min. is all I could take. Lens at this point was rather frosty and the steam of my breath was getting in the way

The russian lens 50mm f:2 44-2 has a strange bokeh. Pictorialism or sharpness? I have chosen the first option. Here, the bokeh is the water, no Photoshop. You can see more examples on my gallery Ut pictura poesis, also swirly bokeh.

El objetivo ruso, estándar en numerosísimas cámaras Zenith tuvo varios modelos. El 44-2 tiene un bokeh peculiar, siendo un objetivo bastante buscado por los que apreciamos el pictorialismo en nuestras fotos sobre otros parámetros como puede ser la nitidez.
Aquí el bokeh es el reflejo del sol en el agua a máxima apertura (f:2) sin ningún ajuste en LR aparte de los típicos de contraste, saturacion, exposición...
Con la lente frontal invertida se produce doble efecto, lo que los ingleses llaman swirly bokeh. Algún ejemplo en mi galería Ut Pictura Poesis.
