My thermometer hit 30 degrees celcius today, which is a record for October. I took a walk around London to see how we delt with the heat.

So, this was where we ended up. There's not a whole lot in the way of waves, but neither are there many people.
Now, we were here on the Saturday of a long weekend during the first heatwave of the season. There are typically news stories about arseloads of people going to the beach on days like this (think: this picture cdn.newsapi.com.au/image/v1/1fedb313c4cc7c894aab447580e2a162) which makes the relative peace and quiet all the more amazing.
30:52 - Heatwave: Temperatures in the mid-90s (~ 34° C) and dewpoints pushing 80°F leads to heat indices pushing 110°F (43° C). It's sufficient to say it was HOT!
For the past week or so we here in the UK have experienced a heatwave especially so down in the south with several days sitting around 30°f. To take refreshment as it were and away from its intensity I walked my local wood for its dabbled light and glade paths ...
It's actually hotter outside, this is in the shade. apparently this has never happened in my city before , where they has been 3 days with the temps over hundred and going up to 107 . There are 9 more days left of this heatwave apparently . I"m sitting by the computer with a fan inches away from my face and a big glass of mango juice with a bunch of ice , it's 89 degrees inside . I did go to the movie theaters with a friend and we watched The Ugly truth . That movie was funny , though it was raunchy humor mostly ,I enjoyed the coldness of the theatre. The good side to this, i have not had to exercise in a least a week in a half , because my exercise bike/treadmill/dumbbells are on our porch and I am not going out there .
