After 2 education programs, a trash scout, and camping through 4 storms, we were very heartbroken to cancel the cleanup and festival. We would like to thank our sponsors, partners, crew, and friends from the Washington Area River Council for the hard work and support to make these large-scale events happen. We greatly appreciate all the exhibitors, musicians, and artists who stayed on-call until the very end! Additionally, we'd love to thank individuals from the City of Washington who were there to help with the cleanup, especially helping with emergency response.
Unfortunately, we can’t control the weather!

This photo was taken in Belfast on the 12th July. The area it was taken in is a place called the village. The village in Belfast is currently going through major and controversial redevelopment with many people being forced to move out of their house so they can be leveled and new ones built.
The day i took this we were filming a documentary for my friends master in filming making at queens university. As we were filming a resident seen us and asked if we could give him a hand in moving some furniture from this house which was to be demolished to a temporary house in the next street, it was a insightful experience into how the people of the village are affected by the decision the politicians make that have clear political agendas. I feel this is a very emotive image that describes how many of the village feel.

I'm ready to follow the sun, and step into the light...the bright, white, light.
What would you do if you were the one who was spending the night? I wish that i was looking into your eyes....I want you to burst through the door, and take me away, no more mistakes; in your eyes, i'd like to stay....
I love this shirt. It's a limited edition Liberty / J.Crew shirt from a few years ago, and it's a Tall (which NEVER happens with their special collaborations) and it fits SO WELL (which also never happens). And for some inexplicable reason the dark blue band on a pair of work socks that I've had for about 10 years and washed countless times decided to run today. On my irreplaceable shirt.
If anyone has any ideas about how to get this out, I'd love to hear them!
Otherwise, I guess this baby is destined to become a quilt... :(
I've debated whether or not to share this news.
Yesterday I noticed that the kittens had some spots where their fur was thinning and kind of yellowish............ringworm. I brought them back to the rescue leauge and they were not very optimistic. (updated) They have been put down.
They weren't our kittens but when you raise them from day 2 it sure felt like they were.
I'm sorry to share this sad news with you but I thought you should know.
Boo Boo, Baby Zeus, Venus, Bella and momma Jade,
I'm so sorry kitties, I didn't know what was going on. You didn't deserve this!
I feel so dejected. I might not be back for a few days.
you know how like when you get a scar and someone just touches it you shudder and it stings a little? and then the person says don't freak out i barely even touched it. but thats not the point- you don't have to dig around in it. just a brush can bring back all the pain anew again.
Meet Toby! our newest addition. as you all know we were heartbroken when we lost our golden retriever Max to stomach tortion in August. Frankly we were devistated and it really affected out German Shepard as she and Max had grown up together.
I had this client who had bought Toby as a puppy as a surprise for his kids ( age 3 and 5). never having owned a dog before they didnt realize that this cute puppy would grow to be over $100.00 pounds (and he's only 13 months old)
When i realized that A) the dogs life consisted of being in the back yard ALONE all day and being in a crate in the garage at night I was very disturbed. This is no life for a growing dog.My husband and I started to offer dog sitting for the w eekends that my clients went out of town as I desperatly wanted this sweetie to have some dog interaction and he had a ball and I was saddened every time he had to go back. I tried to talk to his owners about quality of life and they just didnt get it sooooooooooooooo recently when they offered Toby to us for free ( a pure breed Golden lab) we jumped at it. This poor dog had no idea how to interact with other dogs, people ANYTHING!!! Hell he wasnt even house trained but thats all been taken care of. He's a sweet , sweet boy and we're happy to give him a good home.NOTE:
Do not buy a dog unless your dog people and always go to a shelter first and give a shelter dog a good home! You'll be doing a good thing. Toby makes 9 animals in our home....8 are rescues.HERRRREEES TOBY!!!

I was heartbroken ... even shocked to find out that no protective measures (or so few) were taken to preserve this heritage which suffers every year of the outrages of time.

when I am heartbroken, I feel completely naked and vulnerable. That's why I took these pictures. These were taken during my last breakup.
She Who Is... is heartbroken... two close friends of Murray's, and girls I knew well were killed in a car accident - others - Ben and Lena are critically injured. Just last month they were all graduates together. There is just nothing we can say to make it better... we LOVED these girls!!! The celebration of Kylie's life was July 23, and Mikelle's July 27. Many many wonderful stories, music and memories shared already. This is at a memorial at the high school.
