Me and Daisy are heartbroken to hear that our friends, Virgil, Latka, Little Noir and Luna are sick. Why does the world have to be so mean sometimes. =(

Please send a prayer to Virgil ;

I’m posting out of order because I’m heartbroken and sick to my stomach and

if I don’t post this now I may chicken out by the time I get caught up.

This is the only photo I took today. They cut down my bird trees this

morning, the cottonwoods by the office that I could even see from my bedroom

(giving a great double meaning to the blinds in the window), trees in which

I have photographed northern flickers, American kestrels, common ravens,

common starlings, and house finches, and that list only covers the last 5

days. Earlier visitors, most caught on film, have included downy or hairy

woodpeckers (hard to tell apart at a distance), common crows, ospreys,

red-tailed hawks, magpies, western tanagers, black-capped chickadees, and

red-winged blackbirds to name just a few. These trees were where I

photographed the peregrine falcon in September, and are the subject of the

print my neighbor’s nephew chose as a wedding gift, which was also a post—Do

you think trees dream of netting the moon?—and they feature in one of my

favorite storm pictures, Lilac Lightning, which hangs on my living room

wall. Sadly, these will dream no more.

Remembering I.E. Flash. Heartbroken you left us too soon. Run with the angels, friend.

I was heartbroken to find that you're not allowed to climb Chitzen Itza any more, thanks to some selfish senior who got themselves killed while descending the pyramid just three years ago.

That said, I was thrilled when I found out that Cobá, the second tallest extant Mayan temple, is still fair game. Woo hoo! This is me, actually at a different structure -- the Cobá Group Pyramid, post-climb.

One of my favorite quotes. < 3

My girlfriend Betty is hours later still heartbroken over my loss. She had arrived just a couple days earlier from Peru and together we had come to the town of Banos, a three hour ride south of Quito. Banos is famous as a resort getaway both for its impressive setting surrounded by tall mountains on every side as well as its thermal baths.

We enjoyed the baths under a light, chilly drizzle. Although of course open to tourists most who were there were local families and their children. Set in two different large pools, the pea soup water gives off a steam faintly redolent of sulfur. We sat there for the better part of an hour rather quietly taking in the joy of kids splashing and reminiscing over the unfortunate shitty start of the trip.

He saw himself reflected in the water... thinking about his broken heart

There was a time, I thought that a special love could overcome everything, loose some of the battles but allways win the war. Then I discovered there are some mad things we could do in mad moments on a crazy day, that could never be recovered.... you did, I did... and love lost

Could a real love fail to win?

One day I read a small novel and I am now recovering this quote from it and now I know how much it's true...

"When someone hurts us,

we should write it down in sand, where the winds of

forgiveness can erase it away, but when someone

does something good for us, we must engrave it in

stone where no wind can ever erase it."

Simon Wiesenthal said

"Forgetting is something that time takes care of, but forgiveness is an act of volition, and only the sufferer is qualified to make the decision"

In these days, I was back to listen some old Antonello Venditti songs, two in particular I listen so many times and I would like to share with you

This has nothing to do with my life right now.

I guess it's just a picture of how teenage girls view love. We get all caught up with a certain boy. We lie to ourselves, saying that it will last. We give our heart to that boy. When we break up, we are devastated, because we had convinced ourselves that this relationship would last forever. The boy who left now has a piece of our heart that we can never get back... Our package (The gift of our heart to "the one") is rumpled some more.

Button we brought home from the sanctuary Marc helped out at, at the same time as Purdy about 4 months ago. We were hoping they would both be company for Sparkles after we lost Poppy ,Sparkles' sister to paralysis. We were heartbroken and thought these two needy girls Button & Purdy could live out their days with us. Buttons story is this.. The sanctuary had had her for a week before we got her, Terry had rescued her from a flat where the old lady she lived with, suffered from dementia & forgot to feed her & another cat. Unfortunately the other cat was dead when Terry rescued Button. She was a bag of bones & could not be vaccinated as she was so underweight. Long story short, we fostered here back to health, she is a beautiful affectionate girl, but as she put on more weight & got stronger, started attacking Sparkles & Purdy almost relentlessly. Sparkles was staring to develop behaviour problems, the house was all doors shut and we were all in a state of unrest & stress. Sparkles would not come down from upstairs, Purdy wouldn't move from the mat by the back door, as she could see when the ambush was coming etc. This was not play fighting. So we had to , after much heartrending , and much liasing with our lovely rehoming/lost cat officer Rosie, give her over to be rehomed by Raystede, a wonderful sanctuary in Sussex.

www.raystede.org/how-to-help/rehome-a-pet/?c=cat#sa

We were hearbroken & felt we'd failed, but that is ego. We weren't right for Button. She needs a home where she is the only cat, after the trauma she suffered (she had a peculiar way of drinking water, I guess as it was on very short supply) no kids or dogs, and plenty of attention, food & cuddles. We, while we had had got her vaccinated, wormed & chipped, and gave her all the love we could. believe me we tried EVERYTHING to make it a harmonious household, But it wasn't happening. To watch my Sparkles develop into a nervous wreck was not fun. Now , a few weeks later, Sparkles is more back to her old self, & Purdy is more relaxed & spreads out more. They give each other a wide berth but that's fine. We can only look upon the Button episode as our first foster case. But I don't know how anyone does it full time, like Smoggieskittenclub, all power to them, cos we fell very much in love with Button & hope & pray she speedily finds a gorgeous home . Update, I see Button is reserved. This is good news.

Heartbroken: EVERY Monday night at Studio80 on the Rembrandtplein in Amsterdam! Party: Heartbroken Venue: Studio80 Coverage by: Waking up in Amsterdam!

I missed my first day. and it was day 300. I'm totally heartbroken about it, that i went this long and then, oops! I was just so tired from my first week back at work and friday was crazy hectic getting home, doctors appointments, and blah blah blah. So i tried to figure out what I'd do, leave the 300 spot blank in my 365, which was the leader, or just move everything a day out and have day 300 on what should have been day 301.

I decided for the second. I want to have 365 photos when I finish this- and damn it i'm going to :)

just over 2 months left... i'm ready for it to be done, but can't imagine what i'll do when its over :)

[ Sadly, Dora's is closed now. I'm heartbroken :'( ]
