Our tiny Devon Rex Boy Sylvester. He disappeared after just 1 year. We were heartbroken!

First conceptual photography i have ever done. I waited and waited for that little droplet to fall but it never did. The red poster colour i use was a little too thick i guess.

We found these heart-shaped confetti leftovers on our traditional New Year's Day morning walk at the lake.

Layla was 6 months old when I received her as a HS graduation present. She was a sweetheart, but very shy around strangers. She absolutely did not like being confined, so I gave her free reign of the Kitchen. One day she torn up the indoor/outdoor carpeting (carpeting in the kitchen was a 70's thing).. Needless to say mom was right on the phone asking the breeder to please take her back. I was heartbroken of course. I'd only had her for 3 weeks. The breeder tried to comfort me by saying "You'll be able to have your own dogs one day".. And that I did! :)

There have been two zoo animals that I have felt a strong connection with, the first was Bandit. I met her in 1995 at the National Zoo. There was something about that first meeting that I knew she would be a favorite. She was just that special.

People have asked me why I chose the name ucumari, it comes from "ucumari, bear with mystical power" from her native land.

Bandit will be greatly missed, no zoo will ever be the same for me.

The Art-titude line is definitely one of my favorite Moxie Girlz collections of all time. When I first started collecting Moxie Girlz in 2014, I was really excited to learn that they made coordinating Art-titude fashion packs. This is the first version. In 2011 MGA released an Art-titude 3D fashion pack. I currently have two of these 2009 fashion packs. The first I purchased in it's box off eBay. The second one also came from eBay, but the set was part of a lot of random Moxie Girlz clothes and shoes. You can see that the shirt Merin is wearing was from the used lot--it has some pink stains. Sadly, the previous owner colored all over the shoes and clothes, and I wasn't able to eradicate all of the stains The shoes were actually the most compliant when it came to removing the marker. Although I did have to put them outside with acne cream for several days to get rid of all the marker residue. I'm really glad I have a ming, formerly boxed version for that reason. I'll admit, these outfits are a little tacky, but they look really adorable on the dolls! I especially like how the hood on the jacket can actually fit over Miss Sophina's head. My only complaint is that the dolls were marketed to have their clothes colored on, which is disastrous as you would expect (like the Paint 'N Dazzle Barbie gimmick). I think even when I was younger though, I would have known better than to attempt to color anything in. Or I would have tried it out, only to have been heartbroken by the results (so Dad would have been stuck buying me another set of fashions)!

In railway stations, lovers are either happy or heartbroken.

During the early hours of today, my beloved little Chihuahua, Choco, passed over the Rainbow Bridge. He was the youngest of my brood and the most lively and robust, we'd never dreamed that we'd be saying goodbye to him at just 7 years old. I'm just heartbroken, I never knew I had so many tears inside me. Choco 'Baudouin' you're going to be soooo missed.

This dog was so adorable. He followed us around the entire island of Inis Oírr and then boarded our ferry when we tried to leave. He stood on the pier as the ferry pulled away and looked heartbroken.

Unnecessarily Cinematic San Francisco 02.As seen on Market Street, San Francisco.

After an awful drive home today in torrential rain from looking after Elodie, I thought I'd remind myself of balmier days !

Sadly the swans are no longer at our local park after one of them was killed and it's heartbroken mate left ...... :o((

Sometimes we are heartbroken and sometimes we are the heartbreakers.

A month ago, I was heartbroken to learn that the allotment gardens where I have my plot were to be closed indefinitely, due to precautions to limit the spread of COVID-19. But then...people mobilized....and the province deemed the gardens an essential service. We have new regulations that we need to follow in order to keep everyone safe, but we have access to our gardens. The benefits are vast, from mental and physical health, to eventual fresh food. I am beyond thrilled.

It is with heartbroken sorrow that my beloved friend Whiskey is no longer at my side.

I have been so lucky and truly blessed to share his short but wonderful life. I will dearly miss him more than words can ever say, "he was the love of my life and always will be".

Some of you may know he had kidney failure in August of last year but rallied round and lived life to the full as best as he could. Regrettably towards the end of last month his illness returned with no hope of him recovering and sadly was put to sleep in my arms.

I still have quite a few photographs taken from the walks we took during those few months and from time to time I will cherish uploading them onto this wonderful Flickr site.
