Since I've been trying to eat healthier I wanted to make a cupcake that was healthy, fun and still delicious :] So here are my little Fruit Flys!
Icing is made with plain greek yogurt and a little bit of powdered sugar (seriously awesome icing). The wings are made of almond slices and the legs and antenna are black licorice. The bodies are made from kiwi, strawberries, melons, blueberries and grapes. I would love to do more of these with different fruits and try to add other healthy decorations, but for now these were really fun to make :]
PS The fruit only looks like its sinking because the cupcakes decided in the oven that they would be much happier sinking in than rising like other cupcakes :)
