I added a small plum to her lunch too by request.

 

The dried apples looked interesting to me so I gave her one to try before hand and she really liked them so those are keepers.

 

I used thin coffee stirs for the kabobs.

I'm back in work now (the other job didn't turn out to be what I thought) but only in a temporary position while I try to find a proper job again! Oh the stress! However, it means the return of the trusty laptop lunchbox! Yay!

It's very nourishing to eat foods grown in my own garden. In this meal there is: kale, dandelions greens, and thyme flowers all from my garden. These were swift-sautéed with some golden cooked onions, and slow cooked garlic and placed on a nest of soba noodles. Drizzled over top (for omegas) some cold pressed olive oil and a bit of soya sauce. I enjoyed this meal after this morning of long weekend gardening.

No idea how many calories today, or fat as it's leftover Thai takeaway from the fantastic Thai restaurant in my town. Yum!

Wow - what a difference having corn instead of mini pitta!

There is also an elegance to the soba noodle. In Japan I ate handmade soba noodles. It was like eating edible treasure, all the care and effort that went into the making and presentation of the noodle was impressive.

Homemade mac and cheese...vegetable pasta with melted organic american cheese. I pre-warmed the thermos so his pasta will stay warm until lunchtime.

Not the best lunch today - about 650 calories which is more than I'd like! But I'm running low on veg and I've got no fruit at all!!! Missing my strawberries for the yoghurt! :-(
