The daily M338 manifest train rolling over the hill just West of Nesbit Rd in rural Jesup, Iowa I have not shot anything on the line East of Waterloo for over a month. This was right before the heavy flooding shut this line down West of Waterloo for several days
Walking down into the forest at the moment is a fantastic sight with the deciduous trees putting on a great display.

The KCS Fort Smith Dodger is heading back to Heavener, OK. The train is seen here near Rock Island, OK. This was my first Drone shot of the trip, after looking for, and finding my lost drone in a tree, a few hours before this. After an hour or so searching, and then throwing water bottles about 30 feet in the air, I finally hit the drone and made the catch before it hit the ground. I missed all the shots of the NB trip to Fort Smith, But was able to get the SB chase, and the drone was ok!
The Wheeling Hartland to Bellevue transfer job 228 is leaving the sprawling NS yard through the mini plant and entering the connection to home rails to begin the return trip to Hartland. On the point a consecutively numbered matched pair of units catch the last sun of a late winter day. 3/7/2020 Bellevue, OH
Madison Railroad #5 is southbound on the main with two steel loads. From the RR's web site "CMPA 5 was originally built for the Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railroad in August of 1943 as number 30. It was later renumbered to number 50 and then 2150 when working for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad. After retirement it was sold to the United States Navy. It was rebuilt in 1985 and maintained at the Crane Naval Locomotive Facility." Near Grayford, IN 4/6/2021

Just in the mood to post something different. I took this windshield shot several years ago in downtown Chatt.,Tn. Country singer Eric Church was in town for a concert. I had no idea.I just happened to be downtown at the right place and time for the mini caravan. All the traffic lights were red and I love the church in the background. A cool coincidence for me. :-)
The Delmarva Central is about to pass aptly named "Railroad Farm" alongside their mainline south of Pokomoke City, MD.
While keeping social distancing from a fellow photographer, I was standing on the banks of the Patapsco River to photograph CSX's Geometry Train as it headed for the Confederacy.
CSX GP40WH-2 9969 had the 2 car dispenser of slow orders crossing Thomas Viaduct on a beautiful Covid-19 filled day.
Headed out to Denver to pick up my grandsons!!!
I hope to get into RMNP but if not we'll scope out some other areas around Loveland where we are staying. We'll be back in a few days. The kids will be here for 2 weeks, then I either have to take them back to Seattle or fly them home. We'll decide when they are here.

Oh. In case your wondering, this is an old shot taken on the Highline Trail in Glacier Park, Montana.
Wheeling 431 is taking the straight route across the diamonds at Greenwich on their way down to Crestline where they'll hang a right and traverse the CFE to Lima. Wheeling only runs to/from Lima about once a week as far as I know so I was happy to catch this train at a recognizable location heading that way. Greenwich, OH 8/13/2023
