CFMG/CN's 561, the 5 days a week connection between Mont-Joli and the Cogema Ferry at Matane is heading out of the Port de Matane Spur.
The crew just finished the very demanding job of unloading and loading the ferry, aluminum bulkheads can only be removed two at a time in order to keep the ferry balanced, a process that requires lots of extra moves.
L56111-29 Has the oddball 4727 and 4806 leading the train west with 20 loaded cars on the headpin, for a total of 1600' feet and 2574 tons for the return trip to Mont-Joli.
CMQ Job 1 heads west at Tarratine with three cowls for power. This train was a nice start to my first visit to this railroad.
About 20 Brown Pelicans accompanied by a few gulls are seen heading out to sea ona cloudy morning at Malibu Lagoon Beach.
Heading back to a warmer season for a while. This scene is a painting of an evening paddle back to our camp on an island at Lake George. Good memories!
It's a hilly choice, either way- heading out or heading home! The leaves are almost gone now, but I got a few shots just as the rain helped the colors change, and before the wind took them!

This image is from earlier in the month but is reflective now of the small waves of warblers passing through daily on their journey north. Cool to see and even better when you can get one of these little beauty's in open as they don't sit still! This is a male Wilson's warbler.

WC 7530 works around the wye at Powers on March 7, 1999. Most likely this job was working over toward Goodman but I'm to lazy this evening to dig out my notes to confirm that.
Connecticut Southern train CSO-3 rolls east on the Manchester Secondary passing a flood control dike in the North Meadows section of Hartford. The train will soon cross the Connecticut River heading for the new Home Depot distribution center across the river in South Windsor.
Ann Arbor ran a job from Toledo up to Milan on this Saturday morning and here the short train is heading back home having just crossed the diamond at Diann, south of Dundee, MI. 10/17/2020
