Have not seen them lately, perhaps thats why for 5 minutes it was lifting its wings as to tell me here I am!

How I made it: The paper heart I learned how to make via a TikTok video. It is held with a clothes pin that I blacked out with a marker. The camera is pointed at a slight up angle to not capture the top of the white votive candle about 2 inches behind the heart. In addition to the candle light, it is front lit from below with my cell phone light for about half the exposure.

The only completely red bird in North America, the strawberry-colored male Summer Tanager is an eye-catching sight against the green leaves of the forest canopy. The mustard-yellow female is harder to spot, though both sexes have a very distinctive chuckling call note. Fairly common during the summer, these birds migrate as far as the middle of South America each winter.

Have to admit the D700 struggles just a bit with dynamic range in a scene like this -- probably the reason multiple-exposure HDR became popular about 10 years ago, when this generation of cameras was state-of-the-art. No worries, it's still become my favorite camera to shoot with.

I have been away from making pics for a bit....but trying to get back in the swing....This is a pic of a statue that we did have at our SL home. (Now in my inventory--as Clive and I tend to "redecorate a lot" LOL!).....but I was struck by this piece for long while.....and this is what my mind saw. 🌸🌸🌸
We have a ton of Peacocks that wander around the ocean side of Cape Canaveral. The story I heard was a farmer had them years ago and when he sold his farm he left them and well the flourished. Not sure how true it is, I have had stories about other birds that are living outside their native area before.
A lone Seagull owns the sky in Brooklyn. The span is the Marine Parkway Bridge connecting Flatbush, Brooklyn with the Rockaways.
I have lots of fond memories of camping as a child and as an adult..there is nothing like being out in Mother Nature...The smell of the pine trees, campfires, wild life... Heart Garden Centre has a wonderful pine tree set. The Wild Sitka Pines. They are textured beautifully!! Also plenty of groundcover and flowers to make your forest floor come alive! Mount Hehuan ( also called Joy Mountain) is a 3,416-metre-high (11,207 ft) mountain in Central Taiwan. The peak lies on the borders of Nantou and Hualien counties and is located within Taroko National Park. Hehuanshan is a popular destination in central Taiwan. The 3,421-metre east peak and 3,422-metre north peak of Hehuanshan are both higher than the main peak.
Mount Hehuan is part of the Central Mountain Range.
Snow, rare in the rest of Taiwan, is relatively common on Mount Hehuan during the winter months. Highway 14 leads to Wuling, a saddle between the main peak and the east peak of Hehuanshan. At 3,275-metre, Wuling is also the highest point of Taiwan accessible by highway. From Highway 14, a trail leads to the summit of the main peak. At the summit, there is a weather station.
It looks like these Adelie Penguins are having a lot of fun on their ice island. Taken from a zodiac near Paulet Island, which is a circular island off the north-east end of the Antarctic Peninsula. It is a popular tourist stop because of the large Adelie Penguin colony. This was the fifth penguin 🐧 species that we saw on our cruise 🚢 to Falklands Islands, South Georgia and Antarctica.
