A sort of Street Market - Una especie de Feria Artesanal

I have started doing some commissioned work so when I received contact from Sasha who said that she was ex-pro swimmer and loved Bronte, Bondi and Clovelly pools/ocean and would I do a portrait/lifestyle series of her in those areas for her Swimming School website - I was in seventh heaven.

Yes, I am living on bread and cheese(and cheese only on a Sunday ;))) but I do love it and am learning so much doing portraits/shots for other people - which has stretched me out even further. I keep saying - 'sure I can do that' and then hyperventilating inside . I do also say I have my own Rosiebondi way of doing things and that I am incapable of doing 'chocolate box' shots ;).

So Clovelly Beach is my latest discovery - its only 10 minutes drive away (next beach up from Bronte) and I used to turn my nose up at going there. It a mini bay, if you will, and is surrounded by concrete on either side however it has the most amazing deep body of water in between for snorkelling safely away from the surf and tides. Again it has its own mini-culture down there and Bronte Pool and Beach have been wondering why I have not been so much recently.

This was taken with my underwater Leica. The joy of photographing professional swimmers in water is that they are capable of doing all sorts of twists and turns and follow direction and Sasha did it so beautifully and Ms. Underwater Leica and I were in our absolute element. The more I live in this area the more I fall in love with it and its community :).

I posted this photo weeks ago and had so many views that it was selected for EXPLORE. Then I noticed that the photo disappeared from my photostream. I do not know how that could happen. But I decided to post it again.

Have you been broken?

Are you afraid to show your heart?

You've been searching

Have you found many things?

Time for learning

Why have I not learnt a thing?

Words with no meaning

Have kept me dreaming

But they don't tell me anything

Life can be unkind

But only sometimes

You're giving up before you start

All you never say is that you love me so

All I'll never know is if you want me oh

If only I could look into your mind

Maybe then I'd find a sign

Of all I want to hear you say to me....

Secret number fourteen:

I have a lot to be thankful for.

It's true. I have a fibroadenoma, not breast cancer. I may not have children of my own, but I have nieces and nephews that I love as if they were mine. I may not have a significant other, but I know I am loved. I may not be in the best shape of my life, but I can still walk. I may not be wealthy, but I have the greatest job and work with the best people. And lastly, I have "met" some of the most amazing people ever right here on Flickr. Thank you.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I know I sure did.

Er is een gezamenlijk programma voor de leerlingen van de Grundel en de leerlingen van de KFC school. Traditionele dansen, een sketch hoe een dag van een Nederlandse scholier eruit ziet. Het zorgt voor veel plezier en hilariteit

Waking up this morning to the news of unrest in my country. Protests that have gotten out of control, burning, looting and chaos. What will make a difference to get this to change? We so need a voice to unify and lead but unfortunately I am not sure there is anyone who can fill this role.

Have a Beautiful Day Flickr Friends . Thank You for Stopping Bye

I have had great fun this evening coming up with this shot. This is the 5th photo I've sorted for the group of 10 shots which I have to do for my homework this week for my photography course. I've learned so much about lighting which really helped me to do this shot.
