Mackinac Island is an island and resort area covering 3.8 square miles in Lake Huron, between Michigan’s Upper and Lower Peninsulas. Motorized vehicles have been prohibited on the island since 1898 and travel on the island is either by foot, bicycle, or horse-drawn carriage. There are teams of horses everywhere as they transport all the supplies that arrive from the mainland for delivery to the hotels, restaurants and homes. The entire island is listed as a National Historic Landmark and is well known for its famous Victorian Grand Hotel, Lilac Festival and fudge! My husband and I were married on the island and we go back every few years because it’s so romantic . . . well, okay, it’s really because of the fudge! The last customer is barely out of the door before she kicks off her mules with a groan and wiggle her toes. Her relief is short lived though as her boss says she needs to put her shoes back on to clear up and close down the bar which will take a least another hour

What do a canyon called massacre, a graffiti tunnel, and I, all have in common? Madleigh Twisted!!

This shoot was amazing. Not only did I get to work with beautiful and extremely talented Madleigh Twisted of IFL Models fame, but I had the opportunity to work with the creative minds behind two incredible guys who started came to the middle of nowhere, California didn't find the scene they were looking for so they created one.

IFL is Inner Family Legacy, a multi function model agency, clothing line and Hip Hop group from the mean streets of Hemet. They have incredible models, sic clothes and beats that do not quit with the rhyme style to match. And as if that wasn't enough they are some of the nicest, down to earth, hardworking, driven and talented group of people I have had the pleasure to work with.

This is just the beginning, I am going to start posting the photographs I did with Madleigh, then some of the clothing and fashion. I hope you enjoy this set as much as I enjoyed shooting it.

How are all the beautiful bricks of Bhakatpur made, and who works in the brick factories around the city? Ratna Prasad Prajapati, the owner of KP Brick Industry, invited me for tea and told me how he started small 30 years ago and now employs 400 men and women to produce high-quality bricks. He said the cheap competition from China and India makes life difficult for them. Could I take photos on the premises? Of course, he was delighted by my interest! #nepal #brickfields #hardwork #tradition #bhaktapur
