A foggy day in Corea Harbor, Gouldsboro, Maine
I live in a working waterfront community with a very old time feel. Most folks look out for each other regardless of whether you have been here for generations, or are from away like myself.

Dhanbad (India) - When illegal coal miners are not having fun demonstrating their strength by carrying blocks of coal that can weigh more than fifty kilos on their heads, they use woven baskets like the one in the foreground in the photo. It's more practical, but they are still loaded with a good twenty kilos or more.
When it is women who carry the baskets, we avoid loading them with more than twenty kilos because we must take into account the particularly uneven and crumbly terrain. And when we know that they make between 20 and 50 round trips per day, depending on the distance to be covered, we say to ourselves that an accident can quickly happen.
I don't know how old this gentleman is. Neither does he. He thinks he's over 60... In any case, whatever his age, I wonder how his neck is still holding up ?

I believe the pair produced three youngsters last year. The three may be supporting the adults in building this year's nest. The two extras seen in the tree a few days ago are a mystery. At least three birds were ferrying materials to and fro this evening.
This little guy visits my garden all day long collecting food - he's definitely not camera shy!
