This is a great bag from www.knitwhits.com - it was a lot of fun to make! It was knit a while ago & all I had to do was sew on the handle.
I finally managed to finish the maiko ume set!
Oh gosh, it was loads of work, but I enjoyed it really a lot!
This was commissioned for a maiko henshin ensemble and is my second full-maiko set!
Pink was hand-dyed by me, rest is regulat habuae silk

It's a little on the small-ish side, but I like it. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to close it since I don't have any snaps on hand. I may have to make a trip to a craft store.

Now, in the online journal making class Carla sews paper pages to the spine of the journal. I tweeked it a little, and instead of pages, I sewed a band/sleeve so that I could slip a legal pad through. This way when the legal pad is full, I just reuse the journal over and over again.
It is Rabbit Year this year (Chinese calendar). It makes sense to make a few bunnies to celebrate the year ahead (The Chinese New Year Day will be on 3rd Feb this year)

We have a couple of gift shops on base. I saw these in the Iraqi gift shop & I thought they would make a very pretty accent on my desk. I love the cobalt blue color ~ it reminds me of the water in Greece!
I'll be in Greece in less than a month! I cannot wait to show you my "homeland"! In the meantime, I will scrounge up opportunities that I can take photos of here!
