They had liked one I had made like this before so they wondered if I could make another one like it for them. :-)
This is 22 inches long ~ it lays just right at that length.
Lampwork focal bead was made using Double Helix Silver glass
there is some of my sister's potpourri encased behind the lace,the velvet is something I found in her stuff after she died, I think she might have been planning a crazy quilt. Everything is attached to a scrap of Aida cloth.
I made this last night and it was quite fiddly working with linen fabric. I am quite happy with the result.
As I have bought new wool for felting, so was looking for ideas on the net, and I think I like this best. Found it on Lithuanian site www.smagu.visiems.lt
Hoping to manage to create something like that myself...

Done...with time to spare! It's going to be hard sending this one off. It's one of my favourite things I've ever made. But I know it will be going to someone who will appreciate this sampling of fussy cuts, paper piecing, wonky stars, and HSTs...and I bet she'll recognize most of the prints I chose.
