...handmade by moi out of zippers!
There was one of the facebook things going around where you had to promise to make up to 5 handmade gifts in 2011 for the people who commented on your post. Well it's Dec 9 and I am finished! lol... This one is yours Charlie!
p.s. did I mention how much I dislike sewing!!!
oh and the measurements in case you want to make it?
1 x 8 inch length of zipper
6 x 4 inch lengths
6 x 3 inch lengths
The centre is made from the 8 inch length. Sew a running stitch along the length of it near the edge of the fabric and gather so it curls up.
The petals are made similarly with a little gather in the middle and then sewing them in a petal shape.
Then sew all the petals and the centre together trying not to stab yourself too many times.
I recommend red zippers as it hides the blood better!

The first in a series of baby afghans/blankets made for a craft fair project I will be participating in with my mother. I learned to crochet from my mom when I was about 8, and occasionally the passion to pick that crochet hook back up finds me.
cherry wood from our forest, sliced, painted, freshly lacquered and drying... little pendants for the weekly market - good fun making them with good feedback! each one a one-of-a-kind, of course :)
Visiting the "golden city" of Prague you found lots of shops selling beautiful marionettes. For me the best of them is Truhlar Marionety selling original handmade ones (like flic.kr/p/rxWVJL) from all over the Czech Republic. A must see when you visit Prague.

This quilt is made along the lines of Denyse Schmidt's Drunk Love quilt... I decided to use the exact same fabrics I just used for my modified bento box quilt, but with a different pattern. Love the way it turned out! Blogged here.
I made these with my 7 year old daughter for her to give to friends and family. She also sold some for her own pocket money.
