...handmade by moi out of zippers!
There was one of the facebook things going around where you had to promise to make up to 5 handmade gifts in 2011 for the people who commented on your post. Well it's Dec 9 and I am finished! lol... This one is yours Charlie!
p.s. did I mention how much I dislike sewing!!!
oh and the measurements in case you want to make it?
1 x 8 inch length of zipper
6 x 4 inch lengths
6 x 3 inch lengths
The centre is made from the 8 inch length. Sew a running stitch along the length of it near the edge of the fabric and gather so it curls up.
The petals are made similarly with a little gather in the middle and then sewing them in a petal shape.
Then sew all the petals and the centre together trying not to stab yourself too many times.
I recommend red zippers as it hides the blood better!
cherry wood from our forest, sliced, painted, freshly lacquered and drying... little pendants for the weekly market - good fun making them with good feedback! each one a one-of-a-kind, of course :)
Tiny pillow necklace made of bits of vintage fabric and lace, then stuffed with lavender. The beautiful textile bead is by Carolyn Saxby.
Flat, slightly pointed agate beads separated by goldplated bicone metal beads, 3 polymer clay beads with red, white, gold and dashes of black separated by goldfilled beads. Outstanding without being over the top hence a siren thats slightly shy, not loud.
