...handmade by moi out of zippers!
There was one of the facebook things going around where you had to promise to make up to 5 handmade gifts in 2011 for the people who commented on your post. Well it's Dec 9 and I am finished! lol... This one is yours Charlie!

oh and the measurements in case you want to make it?
1 x 8 inch length of zipper
6 x 4 inch lengths
6 x 3 inch lengths
The centre is made from the 8 inch length. Sew a running stitch along the length of it near the edge of the fabric and gather so it curls up.
The petals are made similarly with a little gather in the middle and then sewing them in a petal shape.
Then sew all the petals and the centre together trying not to stab yourself too many times.
I recommend red zippers as it hides the blood better!

Really hope my partner likes these fabrics. The text is from a spoonflower print of Alice in wonderland .... I love the I dont see the wine line!

Book I made specifically for my recent trip. 20 pages total and I filled it over the course of 6 days. The paper is Fabriano Artistico Cold Press. The page size is approximately 8" x 10". Each page is actually two separate sheets of paper. I wanted the correct side of the paper to be what was usable for every sketch. This is my first ever book made this way.
